Side Effects?

I've been using the regimen for about 4 weeks now and have seen quite a bit of improvement, which I am ecstatic about!
I have not yet been able to use the Treatment in the AM and have only been using it in the PM as it burns quite a bit still when I apply it, and I have not been able to up the amount I am using to the recommended 2 pumps, for the same reason. At this point I am using about 1.5 pumps, which doesn't burn as much but still is uncomfortable. In the time I have been using the Regimen I have developed a small reddened area at the top of my neck on the right side that really shows up when I apply the Treatment at night, and is barely visible during the day. It does not itch, but did appear about 2 weeks into my using this program and has not gone away.
The other issue I am having is with severely dry and flaky skin, particularly on the lower half of my face around my cheeks and chin. I have ordered AHA with my next order as I hear it can help speed the skin renewal process. My skin is so dry and flaky right now that I almost feel more embarassed out in public now than I did before when I was visibly battling my acne.

My question is this: Although I am seeing some progress and have not been breaking out, is this regimen right for me? Is it normal for the Treatment to burn on application still at this point and for my skin to be so dry and flaky still? If so, when can I hope that it evens out?

Great to hear that your skin is improving.

And to answer your questions....yes the side effects you are feeling are all totally normal. Typically for me the burning feeling happens when I apply moisturizer or or cream after the BP. Do not worry though that will eventually go away. As for the dry and flaky skin just keep moisturizing. If you feel dry in the middle of the day you can totally add more moisturizer. I switched to a heavier and thicker night time moisturizer and reapplied when my skin felt tight and dry. It can take a while but your skin will adjust. It took my skin about 3-4 months to get the texture to feel like skin again but it was totally worth it.

What kind of moisturizer did you use in the evenings, if I can ask? I feel like I have to use SO many pumps of the moisturizer and the routine is taking me ages to get ready in the AM and in the PM since I have to let some layers dry before reapplying lol
Thanks for the reassurance regarding the flaking and burning, hoping my skin can work itself out sooner than later!

I use Cerave moisturizer in the AM because it lighter and less greasy.

At night I use the Cetaphil moisturizing lotion. This is pretty thick and not something I would recommend in the day time because your face will look like a greasy mess. For time time though it is great because your face just soaks in the stuff and it feels so much better when you wake up. I also like to add a couple drops of jojoba oil to add even more moisture.
