Five Months In: Update

For context - I have sensitive skin and mild acne. I get some bigger cysts and white heads - and then a lot of little bumps all over.

So it's been 5 months since I started the regimen. I am FINALLY in a place where I am loving my skin and it looks healthy, but I really only got there in this last month.

About each month I replaced one of my store bought products with Dan's acne.org products which are definitely superior to any BP or AHA you will find in the store. (the moisturizer took a bit of getting used to, but now works great)

When I first started, I followed the regimen twice a day (every 10-12 hours). This cleared up my skin. It was nearly always dry, red and a bit rough and flaky. And I only got to one pump of BP morning and night. Then I started adding in AHA. It made my skin red at first, but I wasn't flaky anymore. Still my skin always looked a bit parched.

Finally at about month 4, scars from old acne were nearly all gone and my skin was fully adjusted to the products but still the texture of my skin wasn't great. I decided to do the regimen only at night and just wash my face in the morning and apply sunscreen moisturizer. The acne has stayed away even with only one application of BP and AHA a day and I have now found a routine that I know I can stick with for a long time.

THIS IS MY PERFECT ROUTINE.

morning:

wash with Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser. Apply a moisturizer with sunscreen

evening:

Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser, less than a pump of BP, one pump AHA + one pump acne.org moisturizer + a few drops jojoba oil.

I hope this helps others on their journey to finding out the perfect regimen combo that works for you!

HI!

It's great to hear that you have had such success from this regimen!

I'm new to starting DKR and I am about 5 weeks in.. I have not seen any results :( I'm still getting painful pimples on my cheek area and on my back. It is so hard to stick with the regimen while feeling discouraged from no results.. the only plus is that at the one month mark I brought in the AHA+ and have conquored the dryness, but I'm not sure but I think the AHA may be making me break out in these tiny little white heads that I've never seen before.. they're coming ever since I started using it, did you notice that at all at the beginning of the AHA? Thanks :)
