So Ive only been using The Regimen for about 3 weeks and it does seem to be helping my skin. Ive noticed less breakouts! So thats good. But my skin is SO flaky, dry and feels like snake skin, leather or sandpaper - take your pick. And when I put the moisturizer on it stings/burns. It doesnt soothe at all. Im wondering if I should keep what Im doing or switch to a different moisturizer? I was reading other posts and I know some people said you have to just try things to see what works for you, that these products may not work for everyone. Thats discouraging to hear but I guess good to know. I worked up to the two full bumps on BP and have been on that for the past week and my skin is just flaking everywhere. Nothing helps! And I have a major job interview coming up with my company in a month AND im going on a cruise in 2 weeks. So i really want my skin clear but NOT so dry!! I cant stand it. Any suggestions or a pep talk may help lol
Thank you
Since you can't use AHA until you've been on the regimen for a month you might want to try the jojoba oil method, it will definitely remove the larger flakes but as far as smaller flakes I'm not so sure. You put a good amount of jojoba oil on your face and gently massage the oil into your skin and if your skin gets dry after you've been massaging apply more oil and leave it on for 10 minutes, after it's been on for 10 minutes you can either apply more oil and repeat the first step if you want to make sure the flakes are gone then you gently wipe your skin with a gentle cloth and then continue with your normal regimen routine. I don't want to discourage you but it took me more than a month with AHA use to get flake free smooth skin so definitely don't expect flake free skin within 2 weeks, the jojoba oil method should give some relief but it's not perfect so don't expect flake free skin yet but that may not be the case for YOU but it was for me just pointing that out
thank you I might try that because this is just awful. Its not so much big flakes but little flakes everywhere all over my face. It has a rough texture and looks scaly. And its kind of tight.. ? Its hard to explain but Im sure this is what is supposed to happen. Its just annoying lol But I mean other than that my skin is getting clearer so thats good

Hi hannahgrey,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having some difficulty with The Regimen. First time users of Benzoyl Peroxide do sometimes develop scaly and flaky skin even if they follow the instructions precisely on our site. I would suggest that you use the Moisturizer every 4-6 hours instead of just twice a day to remedy the dryness until you are fully accustomed to the Benzoyl Peroxide. You may also add a few drops of Jojoba Oil for added moisture. The Lichocalcone in the Moisturizer should be able to soothe your dry skin. Good luck!
