Hi,

I started to use The Regimen one week ago, and my skin isn't dry at all. I was wondering if it's because it isn't working for me or just because i'm lucky.

Thank you ! :)

Congratulations! You're one of the lucky select few who is spared that initial unpleasantness and totally does not mean the Regimen isn't working. The initial dryness/redness is often a phase most of us have to muscle through but those who don't have sensitive skin are often spared this grueling step. My son also didn't experience any dryness the first few weeks. It wasn't until about week 5 that we started noticing flakes and dryness, and the jojoba oil took care of this beautifully. All the same, do not make the mistake of ramping up the BP too soon. Even if your skin is handling the BP just fine, it's still important to slowly ease your skin into the treatment like they recommend in order to maintain your skin's balance as much as humanly possible and avoid irritation-related breakouts.

Sounds like you're off to a great start! Wish you success on your Regimen journey!! :)

I also never experienced any dryness in the first week primarily due to the fact that my face is always super oily. However, I did start to experience some dryness during week 5 and as the weather in my area because extremely cold.

@Periwinkle...My skin was also super oily, but also very sensitive so by the end of week two I had major lobster face going on haha! My skin was very tight like it would crack open any minute, the treatment stung when applied...it was awful! I had to slother my face with petroleum jelly every night for 3-4 days just to be comfortable until the redness subsided. The petroleum jelly was a lifesaver!! Delivered on its promise to heal and protect. :)

Damn I know exactly what you mean girl! Although I didn't experience much dryness, redness was a major problem for me. All my previous acne marks and active breakouts were on FIRE! Like they even began blistering to the point where some had dried up blood on top. Sorry for the tmi! And as for Vaseline I totally agree with you. It def helped eliminate the extremely mask like stretch across my face. Especially at the corners of my mouth lol

@Periwinkle...what is this website if not a great place to share TMI? haha :D Sometimes it's necessary in order to get to heart of a problem so people can offer effective advice. Petroleum jelly is noncomedogenic although goopy as hell but great in a pinch for a cheap remedy that really works.

Yes girl I couldn't have said it any better. That's why I love this regimen. It offers so much more than just products, but an actual community to connect with! And lately I've been sleeping with Vaseline on my flaky spots just to get that extra kick that it needs. And now that you say it isn't comedogenic I might use it more! For some reason I always though it would be a clogger due to its thickness. Thanks girl!!
