Acne.org Regimen With Eczema/psoriasis?

Hello forums,

I'm planning on purchasing all the products I'll need for the acne.org regimen. It's time to get this taken care of. However, I am certain that I either have eczema or psoriasis on my face too, quite close to where some of my acne is (which I believe is contact acne) and I'm wondering if any of the products I'll be using will irritate my condition, particularly the benzoyl peroxide. My eczema/psoriasis affects my esteem more than my acne at the moment, and while I am also actively trying to improve that situation it would be disastrous to my confidence if the products made it worse.

I'd really appreciate some responses of others who are dealing with a similar scenario, though all answers are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I would be very interested in this.. I, too, suffer from eczema around my nose which never seems to clear // however a recent severe breakout has left me trying every spot treatment possible which has only seemed to aggravate my dry patches, making my face a complete mess.

I'd love to know if the regimen is even worth a shot

Personally I don't think I would use BP on my face if I had eczema or psoriasis.. It's such an irritating agent that my skin can barely tolerate it in high amounts without turning into a tomato.. and I don't have either eczema or psoriasis, but I do have extremely sensitive skin.

If you're determined to try it then I urge you to start sloooowwww, just to see how your skin reacts to the whole process.

Hopefully an answer is still provided in this thread, but fortunately for me, it seems the acne I do have on my face isn't actually as bad as I thought it was and over the last couple of days has improved quite a bit on it's own. Some weak spot treatment might be all I need to clear it up for good. It must be this eczema/psoriasis or whatever that's been distracting me from it. So in light of this, I've decided I won't be going ahead with the facial routine. The few things I've read about the strength of BP are enough for me to conclude that a condition like mine that reacts to the most gentle on products probably isn't suitable for the regimen.

I apologise to those who may be in a similar situation with worse off acne on their face. I understand this post may be rubbing salt in the wound, as it seems I've overcome my acne problem far more easily than it will probably take others here. I'd like to assure you though that I empathise. I'm still dealing with body acne, which is far worse that what was/is on my face, and I'll probably still be getting the products for that.

I would not use acne products, including benzoyl peroxide, on skin that has eczema or psoriasis. Please see a doctor if you have other conditions in addition to acne. Acne meds tend to irritate the other issues and it can be tricky to treat them all.

I have psoriasis and I have been using the regimen for a month. At first everything went very well and my acne cleared up almost completely. However dark spots were left behind each time a spot was cleated and now my skin is peeling away very visibly. I am now going to reduce the amount of BP cream I use to a very minimum to see what happens.
