My son has severe cystic acne. He has been doing The Regimen for 8 weeks now and is experiencing very itchy skin on his face. He had to wash off the benzoyl and moisturiser last night so he could sleep. Any ideas to reduce or make this stage any easier. He is very close to giving up.

I'm sorry to hear your son is so uncomfortable. I realize that it's been a few days since you posted this question...has the itchiness gotten any better?? Was his face itchy from the get-go or is this a recent complaint?
Have you tried jojoba oil? Jojoba oil can be great for flaky, dry skin which can cause itchiness and is a common side effect of the BP treatment. Adding 5-6 drops to the moisturizer before applying can really help.

Hope things improve for your son! It's a wonderful treatment but can be difficult in the early weeks. My son is also using it.
