One Part Of The Regimen I'm Having Trouble With

The whole thing is a godsend to me except for the moisturizing at night. I just can't do it...

This is how it goes for me: every single morning after moisturizing I have whiteheads.

Every single morning after NOT moisturizing (just using the bp) I'm clearer than before.

Yet the regimen says moisturizer, both am and pm is an integral part of healing and finally staying clear.

What's going on here?

And yep, my moisturizer is very gentle, oil free, and doesn't break me out. It seems to be the act of actually SLEEPING in the moisturizer that's causing the whiteheads.

Any thoughts would be great

The moisturizer is an important step, so it should not be skipped altogether. However, if you aren't dry and flaky and you feel you don't need to moisturize at night, then just use it during the day. Also, keep in mind that if you are in the early stages of The Regimen you may see ups and downs with breakouts and clearing, and this is completely typical and has nothing to do with moisturizer.

So, bottom line, if you are still new to The Regimen I would still suggest using the moisturizer a.m. and p.m.

If you are established on The Regimen and you aren't dry and flaky and your skin does better without nightly moisturizer, then do what works well for you. Just keep in mind that if you start feeling tight and dry you need to consider using that nightly application of moisturizer. Our moisturizer is non-comedogenic and made especially for The Regimen so if your particular moisturizer is resulting in nightly breakouts you might give ours a try and see how you do.

Hope that helps!

Don't skip moisturizer. your skin will get used to it sooner or later. Irritated skin=acne. If u don't moisturize it will be irritated.

Another tip: change your pillow case every single night. And never use a towel twice to dry your face. Either flip it or use a clean one.

I don't even use pillows, they're uncomfortable for me, BUT I need to be more careful about towels. I use them if they're dry, but that doesn't always mean clean. I really need to buy 7 face towels, one for every day of them week, and put them in the laundry on the 7th day. Thanks for the reminder.

Yeah no problem. A new towel everyday is the only way to go. You never know what might be on a used towel.
