Hey everyone!

I haven't been on the boards for a while, mainly because the regimen cleared my moderate acne in 2010-2011 and I no longer had to be concerned about my skin. It took 5 months, but I got there, and my skin was so radiant I frequently got compliments on it! My skin hadn't been that clear since elementary school. The clarity came with consequences, and for me, that was extreme dryness. My skin never acclimated to the amount of BP necessary to keep the breakouts away. So using the full dosage, I rid my pimples 99%. But the flakes were just as embarrassing to me. My fair skin was often really red and irritated, and just smiling gave me a beard of flakes.

I started modifying the regimen to fit my skin's personal needs. For me, that meant using Vaseline at night after the moisturizer soaked in, and that meant cutting down on the BP to one pump morning and night even if that meant having less clear skin.

I kept up the modified routine for about 3 years. My skin wasn't ever crystal clear, but it was pretty close. But then I got to the point where I took the results of the regimen for granted, and I was annoyed that it prevented me from showering mid day or swimming and it bleached my clothes, took forever, etc.

This summer, I modified it even more. I reduced the BP to less than half a pump morning and night. My skin broke out a little more, but it was still doable. It allowed me to swim (and then I'd just apply a little more BP after with some moisturizer), it took less time, it was working out okay.

Then I decided to stop the regimen completely in the beginning of September and to just do gentle cleansing and use this nice pricey toner. And my skin broke out horrifically. For a month, I was off of BP, and the damage it has caused is incredible. I was breaking out in places I didn't even break out before I started the regimen. Before, my chin area and around my mouth was my main concern. Now, it's literally everywhere on my face. I recently started back up on the modified regimen I had used for 3 years but my skin is still in terrible shape.

The point of this long story is to encourage those who have been helped and healed by Dan's regimen to just stick with it! There are ways you can modify it to fit your lifestyle and be more convenient and less time consuming, and it's still effective! I wish I had never stopped, because at this point I'm thinking that if it works for me again it will probably take 6 months or so before I achieve the skin I had before I quit.

I wish you all the best! Dan's regimen rocks!
