So I just started my 4th week of the regimen, I'm almost using the full finger dosage twice a day and the acne is slowly starting to fade but it is still there so I'm not clear yet. My skin doesn't burn that much anymore when I apply the bp or moisturizer however my biggest problem right now is the complexion/texture of my skin; there are dark brown patches everywhere and they make my skin look worse than the acne itself. I tried using the jojoba oil before I apply the bp and this has helped alot in the overall dryness of my face but the darkness/scaley look still remains.
I'm wondering if this is a sign I should start using AHA and if it's okay to start using it when I'm still in the 4th week?
I'm seriously considering using it as my complexion is currently giving me a harder time than my actual acne.
hi ahmed ,i'm really happy that seeing people from egypt ,come here to look for treatments ,acne.org is great source for acne and acne scars treatments, i'm also from alexandria , for brown patches , it's called post inflammatory hyperpigmentation , it's always happen after inflammatory acne with dark skin, and it's not permanent ,AHA will help increase cell turnover , and this will make brown patches to fade more quickly , you can use it as spot treatments on brown patches only , and see how your skin react , if you react good without break out , i think you can use it all over face without problems because it will help your acne , and if you use acne.org moisturizer , it also may help cuz it contain licorice extract that help with hyperpigmentation , i hope that will help you

thank you so much for the quick reply, very informative! I guess I will start incorporating AHA into my regimen then.
I also forgot to mention that I use 5% bp, I can't seem to find the 2.5% one and this is probably what is making my skin look so terrible. Did you happen to find 2.5% anywhere? I will be going to Alexandria soon anyway and might pick it up when I'm there haha
