Hello all,

I've currently been using 2/3 finger length of Bp and have followed the reg as strictly as possible. While I no longer feel a burning when applying this much. I'm starting to get really dry and flakey. Even after applying 3 pumps of neutrogena oil-free moisture with SPF-15 and 2 drops of jojoba, my skin still feels slightly tight and I noticed flakes around my mouth area within 3-4 hours. I keep applying moisturizer every 4 hours, but am I forgetting to do something?

Perfectly normal! You still aren't to the full amount of BP so your skin is still adjusting. The flakes are just a sign of your skin getting used to the BP. You could try using a little bit of jojoba oil to exfoliate with around your mouth...just be very gentle. And it fine to bring around a bit of moisturizer and reapply throughout the day, especially in the early stages of the regimen.

Thanks nicmic, I used that jojoba oil exfoliation technique this morning. Basically got all of the flakes off, except a few tiny spots. My chin acne is still persistent but I'm more focused on the red marks at this point. They're slowly fading but I can barely wait for the aha+ in a few weeks.

That's great! Those flakes are soooo annoying when they are very visible.

Don't be in a rush with the AHA, give your skin time to really adjust to the BP or else AHA will make it pretty uncomfortable. When you do use the AHA, it will be so good. It really does take your skin from clear...to just awesome.

Good luck! 🙂
