Hey, I'm on my first week of the regimen and I'm applying the small amount as stated by Dan on the video. I first noticed little I guess "bumps" on the top of my lip.

Currently I have on my forehead and mostly around my lips, chin being the worst areas a rough, reptilian looking skin. I am moisturising twice daily and even during the day as extra as I can't tell if the rough feeling is dry or not.

Mainly I just want to know if this bumpy kind of reptilian type skin around my face and mainly lip area normal to get when first beginning and when would it seem to heal up alil.

I am starting to regret my decision to try it as it's that bad... My lip area is killing me and my skin just looks gross.

The reptilian look is something most regimen users go through. That skin then tends to flake off. It's simply the benzoyl peroxide increasing your skin-cell turnover which is basically how it works, that and oxygenating your skin to kill acne bacteria.

You need to get some jojoba oil and add lots of that to your moisturiser. It makes you look a little shiny at first but it does eventually absorb. If not you can just blot off the excess. A lot of regimen users also use jojoba oil to massage their skin and remove any flakes before applying any of the regimen.

Once you get through these stages, it's all plain sailing. Keep it up! :)

Laura, dry skin is very normal but if your skin is super red in places (hot spots) just don't apply Bp in those areas until it recovers a bit. The first 4 or so weeks are awful. Be mentally prepared, but if you get through it you'll be rewarded at the end. Good luck and hang in there :)

I always used to carry a small bottles of moisturizer with me to help with the flakes and dryness. I would reapply twice or three times throughout the day just so the flakes aren't as obvious.

I know how you feel. I am currently in my third week and have also had my doubts about the regimen. I recommend using jojoba oil on your lips everyday. So far I have not had any problems with my lips, but the rest of my face.... SO. DRY. Lately I've been using Dan's Moisturizer in the mornings and the Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream in the evenings before going to bed. The Cetaphil has done miracles to my dryness! It used to be really bad around my mouth, but that reptilian dry skin got so much better after I started applying Cetaphil (mixed with a few drops of jojoba oil). My forehead and cheeks are improving as well.

How long do you wait before you apply the BP and moisturizer?

After I apply the BP I wait 10-15minutes so the BP dries in and then I apply moisturiser. I have ordered jojoba oil so it will probably help a lot with the dryness and irritation abit too when it arrives, takes so long to arrive....

Yes, the jojoba oil will help for sure! If your face gets dry throughout the day, just apply some more jojoba oil. If you are going to bring the bottle with you somewhere, make sure you keep it in a little plastic bag or something similar. The bottle leaks very easily.
