Hello fellow users,

I'm a sixteen year-old (M, Asian) teenager who is currently on The Regimen. I have moderate acne and I understand the usual routine that most people go through. Whether on the T.V, the internet, or through a friend, you hear a new product is on the market and what do you do? You research the product and read the reviews online only to purchase the falsified hype. I have been in your shoes and I can almost guarantee that a majority of people on this forum has a !@#$ load of acne products. I purchased the Regimen Plus Kit and although the price tag is quite expensive, I assure you, it is WORTH it. I have been on the Regimen only for a week but it already feels great using it.

I suggest that everyone who is debating whether or not to purchase the Regimen kit to purchase the Plus size kit. I usually like to conserve my products by using a small amount but by purchasing the plus size kit, you don't have that conscious weighing over your head. The directional video by Dan is very helpful and I recommend that everyone to watch it. Even if you do not purchase or use the Regimen, the insights offered by Dan is crucial and probably the most effective method to prevent acne. Now, I am not saying that the Regimen is godsend and that it will completely get rid of your acne. I have broke out here and there but not severely.

Here's how I use the Regimen: Please note, this is my experience and that your experiences can vary. Also, FOLLOW the rules as if your life depended on it. Start from the initial amount (pea-size) and gradually ramp up the dosage.

Since I don't take a shower in the morning, I wash my face at the sink and I use TWO FULL PUMPS of the cleanser. I gently lather up the cleaner for about 10 seconds and then I GENTLY apply it to my face. I suggest to use your ring finger to avoid any pressure or irritation. I find that I rub my face harsher when I use my middle finger. When I first started, it was a bit weird to follow the 10-second rule but now I have no problem doing so. Also, if you keep having trouble following this rule, just count up to 10. I also always use warm- temperature water instead of cold-temperature water.

I GENTLY dry my face with a soft towel and wait about 5-10 minutes to COMPLETELY DRY off. I then use the treatment (2.5% BP) and GENTLY apply it all over my face. You need to wait until each application is completely dry so wait another 5-10 minutes after applying the treatment. Now, in my opinion, the next part is the worst part of the Regimen.

The moisturizer is great but in the directions, it says to apply two full pumps of the moisturizer. When I first started the Regimen, I used two full pumps but I realized that this is a bit excessive so I reduced my dosage to one. I don't know if I have a small face or what not, but two full pumps is too much and takes forever to absorb on its own. Take my advice on your own risk.

I have really dry skin so I use the Jojoba oil on my lips, knees, and elbows. I can definitely see the effectiveness on my chapped lips. I have not tried adding the Jojoba oil with the moisturizer since the moisturizer itself is too much. In 3 weeks time, I plan to mix AHA and the moisturizer.

I have experienced some burns after applying the treatment but I have not suffered from any peeling. Since this is my first week using the Regimen, I can't really say anything for sure but so far, I love it. I will post before and after images if anyone of you are interested. I know these types of threads are everywhere so if any of you do not find it helpful, I will stop posting my progresses.

Hello there.. I believe you are using too much cleanser and moisturizer for the beginning of the regimen. Please read the instructions again to be sure you are performing the regimen correctly. Also, since you are on the first week of the regimen, you should only be applying it once a day, preferably at night, then move onto twice a day during the second week, still using just a dime size of BP and moisturizer. You can slowly and gradually work your way up as you move through the weeks. You should also be sure that your skin as adjusted to BP fully before incorporating AHA. Slow and steady wins the race here.. Good luck and keep us up to date on your progress... :)
