You're right, the jojoba oil will reduce the effectiveness of the Bp as it won't absorb as well into the skin. Try not to mess around with the steps too much before you are clear, but I completely understand the temptation. The first month really does suck. Just keep remembering that it does get better. I was starting to lose a lot of my early motivation by the 4th week but suddenly in week five I had a big improvement in my skin, plus I seemed to suddenly be fully adjusted to the Bp and my face was much less red and flaky. But week 11 was my magic week when I was completely free from acne for the first time in over 20 years. Hang in there, we are all with you every step of the way.

I dont think it should mess with the effectiveness of the BP as much as you may think. But probably best not to mess with the steps of the regimen right away. I actually use moisturizer on my face first after cleansing, then use the BP. I use this because it makes my skin soft and less flaky (yes you still get flaky even after months of the regimen). I don't breakout from not using BP before moisturizing and I had very severe acne. As long as i use one pump on the morning and one at night after i moisturize I DO NOT breakout so maybe once you are clear and a few months in you can try this method so that your skin can stay softer.

Day 23:

Okay so today my face was less red than the usual, it's still super flaky and now I'm flaking a lot more on my forehead but I don't mind that cause I hate the skin on my forehead so I'm glad it's peeling lol. I would say it's completely clear. My cheeks have like 3 active pimples. One small one on my left cheek and 2 on my right cheek which really hurt. The ones on the corner of my mouth are dissapearing

I tried using my Blue Lizard Sunscreen with SPF 30 and that was a big mistake because it went on like super white and didn't dry at all the whole day so I was lookin' like a ghost the whole day lol. I'm gonna look for a diff sunscreen.

Any suggestions?

Great progress you guys! Don't work too much about the breakouts. Week 3 and 4 for me were the worst. Cysts started popping out so fast I wanted to quit. Just remember that it gets better.

Getting closer to the 1 month mark! My face is def breaking out bad, I have 2 actives on my left cheek and 3 on my right,& 3 on my chin. The ones on my right cheek are under the skin and HURT but I think they are drying up so that's the awesome part

Redness isn't as bad anymore, flakiness is still there, I'm super duperrrr impatient so I'm hoping that goes away soon lol

Btw, I have another question(sorry for all the questions) but since I am using the tube I am using the BP on my finger and sometimes I squeeze a little bit more out so the line is thicker and sometimes it's a little skinnier, does that matter?

Day 26:

Hellooo everyone

I am extremely late on this but I almost forgot to post!! I will not miss a single daily post so I just remembered before I went to sleep lol.

My face is doing well, the acne is drying up, the one on my left cheek is acting up and it's connected to another one, I think. It's a mutant. The ones on my chin are under the skin and will take a while to leavee. But anyways I feel great cause my scars seem a little less visible!! I'm not getting the ugly redness, still flakiness but I think it's getting better. I'm so happy that there is days like this where I feel good about my skin

I woke up this morning and my face looked ugly lol flakes everywhere, and the pimple on my left cheek(the mutant) had dried up blood all over it

The ones on my right cheek are still there but drying up and they don't hurt anymore, the one on my forehead is also still there, I would think that it would be gone by now but it wants to stay.

I might order another kit soon, idk if to get the pump or tube for the BP. The pump has more but it'll feel weird not using the tube lol.

My bday is coming up and I know my skin won't be clear by then I guess I'll make the best of it.

Ughh I have cramps right now. Anyways my face looks the same as yesterday, acne still drying up. The one on my left side is getting a little bit flatter but I don't expect it to fully go away until next week, Still have those tiny ones on my chin and the one on my forehead is a tiny bump now. The ones on my right cheek are so stubborn, I've had them for like what now, 2 weeks? As I'm typing this there is NO OIL on my face, it's very dry and kinda rough in texture, probably cus of the flakes.

I'm happy to say that I have no new actives(knock on wood) and hopefully the existing ones vanish soon!

I ordered a new kit yesterday and I got the tube again, kinda tight on money. After the Regimen I will try replacing the cleanser and moisturizer for other products cause these kits are expensive! They're worth every penny though

Haha it's so weird how we all get acne on the same spots

I'm gonna be exfoliating once a week with Renewal Apricot Scrub which is the Rite-Aid version of St Ives, I like it and I've used it a couple times before. I just can't stand the flakes. Pressing my skin against anything makes the flakes come off. I'm just gonna do this until I can get the AHA, then I'll use the AHA every 3 days as an exfoliator.

One month mark! Hell yeah, Faith. Major congrats to you. I'm noticing my skin has kind of a rough texture too, I guess that's the hardening effect. Hope the AHA works out for you, it seems to be working with my skin pretty well so far.
