Hi everyone,

I'm 19 and I have moderate chin acne. I've tried many thing to cure my acne over the past couple of years (BP, S. acid, monocycline) and have had period of clarity, but ever since I stopped drinking my breakouts have been pretty bad. I started the regimen on monday and have been following it precisely. I use cetaphil gentle cleanser, Neutrogena on the spot, and cetaphil moisturizer. The regimen seemed to be working but when I cleared the gunk off my face to start the regimen this morning I was pretty scared of what I saw. My acne may have flattened a bit but my chin was pretty red in certain spots, almost as if the top layer of skin had been removed in those certain spots. It's more red/irritated than it is dry I think. Should I continue following the regimen precisely or should I change something (like going to once a day)?

I would REALLY appreciate any help I can get here. I'm so sick of having bad skin as I'm sure many of us are. Anyways, thank you for reading my post! I'll try to put pics up later.

Thanks

The more I read the more I see that I'm probably going to have to just suck it up and stick with it.

Yep, suck it up! grinwink.gif No seriously, if it is just red, then that is pretty normal. If its red and burning (really bad burning) then give your face a rest for a day and then try BP once a day for a few days and build up from there. Some redness, irritation and burning should be expected and you just need to grit your teeth and bear it until your skin adjusts (and it will adjust), but if its unbearable burning then back off with the BP and start slower.

Good luck!
