Hi, the cleanser was out of stock for a while due to supply changes and i recently was able to finally get my shipment of it. It smelled different and honestly felt weird to my face, and i checked the ingredients, and theyre COMPLETELY different. Theres even citric acid in this new cleanser and a lot of the ingredients are removed. Anybody else see this?? I attached pics of the old cleanser vs the new one.
EDIT: I saw Dans post about this new cleanser, I shouldve checked before I made a post lol I hope this cleanser works just as well, has a lot less ingredients and I know my skin is going to miss the white bark extract and cucumber extract. Ive been a strict loyal customer for over 10+ years and I dont want to change anything
From looking at the ingredient lists, the new cleanser has changed its recipe significantly from the previous one. The previous cleanser had cucumber extract, white oak bark extract, sage extract....And the new cleanser is just pure soap basically? Will the store bring back the previous cleanser as an option for purchase? Thanks.
@nancy02 I looked else where. Hope they dont change their other product ingredients. Their regime worked excellent for me but isnt as effective/uniformed anymore. But yeah the cleanser change along with the moisturizer shortage is a bummer.
Everyones skin is different though and the one with white oak bark was flawless for me. Best alternatives I found (which will not work for everyone) is:
SKINCARE TAILOR Gentle Cucumber Daily Cleanser
and
Kri Endless Moisturiser with Squalane (UK)
I have mild acne, skin creates too much sebum (white heads, small red bumps) Theyre not fungal acne safe and may* worsen rosacea and eczema. If your skin is like mines though, theyre the best alternatives I found.
New facial cleanser. Can anyone give me their opinion on using this product? I'm worried because my skin is sensitive, I could only use my old facial cleanser and it was very difficult to find a replacement.
@dithien Heyy I ended up here because I noticed the cleanser was different immediately after first use of my new order. I have gotten tiny bumps similar to an allergic reaction. I have been a customer for over 10 years and I think I am officially done.
Oh no. The cleanser has been my favorite part of the DK products for two decades. I think the formula has changed over the years and if I remember correctly, there was a change not too long ago. But it's always been mostly the same product with the same smell and feel. But if you're saying it even smells different now, that makes me worried. I'm not upset over the new moisturizer formula but I would really like the cleanser to stay the same.
Yeah, I just got my new bottle and compared the ingredients AFTER using it because I knew from the first use it was way less gentle The old one I was always able to squeeze my eyes shut and just gently put it all over, even to get oil build up off my eyes but that was a huge mistake with this one. I feel like I honestly just wasted my money because I could get this type of cleanser anywhere. The whole reason I get the one here was for all the other stuff that used to be in it and the gentleness. Ill just use less and avoid my eye area now I guess but yeah Im disappointed too. My eyes are all swollen and itchy now. Definitely from spring allergies too but the cleanser surprise didnt help. My fault for not looking but I just figured its been reliable for me for like literally 10 years. Ugh.
