Okay so I read reviews of the "Benzoyl Peroxide - 2.3%," and it seems like it has great standards because it works for most people.
Alright so I've tried so many cleansers and products, and it seems like they don't work on me. There would be times when it would get lighter and less noticeable but also times when it goes to the worst.
I usually breakout in my center cheek on both sides. Acne is together (if that makes sense) I was wondering if this product may work than the rest. And does it help with red marks/acne scars?
Thanks in advance!
Benzoyl Peroxide is a standard treatment for mild to moderate acne, and sometimes even severe acne. If you fall under the first two categories there is a statistically significant chance you will see an improvement from using 2.5% BP. BP is one of the most researched acne medications out there and is really one of the few that works for the vast majority of people. Again, it's not for everyone, some are even allergic to it. If you use it correctly for your skin type and stick with it for a few months, you will likely see improvement. It's definitely worth a shot, more so than any other treatment for acne on the market.
Also, regarding BP/SA washes. Short story is they really don't work for the vast majority of people. The BP from a wash is only on your skin for 30 seconds tops. That is simply not enough time for the medication to penetrate the skin. You're washing 99% down the sink when you use it. Use a 2.5% BP gel once or twice a day depending on how well you tolerate it and you should definitely see results. The washes are simple marketing gimmicks with a lack of conclusive scientific evidence that supports them. BP has been through more trials than OJ Simpson. It's a much better bet.
