I have been using the regimen products for a couple of years now and absolutely love them! I haven't found any other products to be as effective. My question is, is it okay to add other oils to the moisturizer (besides the jojoba, which I have and add and use and love!)? But I recently learned that rosehip seed oil and pomegranate oil are both very mild and effective on scarring and for dry skin and am wondering if it's okay to add these to the moisturizer, or to use them alone, or if you have any opinions or comments about them? Thank you!
Seems like no one has any idea, so I thought I would respond for anyone else who was interested and unsure. I went ahead and added small amounts of all the oils (jojoba, rosehip seed, and pomegranate) and the outcome has been terrific! I've been using this concoction for the past week or so and could tell immediately that the other oils were really beneficial without causing any negative side effects- and my skin is very sensitive and reactive to everything and I can always tell right away if products will make me break out! I bought the jojoba (and the moisturizer, cleaner, and treatment) off acne.org, but then I bought the rosehip seed and pomegranate oils off amazon- both are organic oils in 4 fl oz bottles for about $12-$13 each. Very good deal and so worth it, I would definitely recommended it! I've heard really great stuff about properties of both oils, and since I have some scarring and am hitting my 30's and seeing some wrinkles as well, I wanted address those issues as well as the acne.

Thank you for your update! I've been wondering if oils might help me clear up dark marks from past acne spots.. I came across this website
http://www.thelovevitamin.com/7917/oil-blends-for-acne/#.UpfP9hbFU19
there it's suggested to use following mix: (which I haven't tried yet but hope to get my hands on once I'm travelling to the UK this Christmas, thought it might be interesting info
Anti-Scar Blend
- Jojoba 50% (2 ounces/60 mL)
- Apricot Kernel 20% (0.8 ounce/24 mL)
- Castor 15% (0.6 ounce/18 mL)
- Evening Primrose 15% (0.6 ounce/18 mL)
- Vitamin E 0.5% (10 drops)
I've been trying out hemp oil, and so far I love it. One nice thing is that it has a comedogenicity rating of 0 and doesn't leave as much of a greasy residue as some others. It hasn't turned my face into magical rainbows or anything, but it definitely helps with dryness and redness.
Awesome, thanks for the comments! I'll definitely look into the website and into other oils! Just to update again, since I had only been using my oil concoction for a little over a week last time I posted, it's been almost a month and I'm still loving it and getting great results! No magical rainbows here either, but I do notice great improvement with dryness and overall skin texture, and most importantly no breakouts from the oils!
Hi Cynthia,
Just wanted to let you know I looked into the website you suggested and absolutely love it so thank you for sharing such a lovely wealth of knowledge! Also I just purchased all the ingredients for the anti-scar blend and am going to try it out and will leave an update in a couple of weeks. Please share your experiences if you try this or other oils as well, I'd love to hear how it goes!
Hey Kamila Maria!
Glad you checked out and liked the website. I'm in perpetual shock at how unfit most of todays facial care really is for sensitive or acne prone skin. Living in South America I have trouble ordering stuff (meds or liquids) online and having them send to me. I haven't come across any natural store that would extensively sell oils and the likes. I even have gone as far as telling my Derma what to prescribe me and to send me to a natural pharmacy and what to have them mix up for me. (He probably thinks I'm a maniac) =)
Do let me know how the scar blend works for you, and I will hopefully be able to purchase the oils this Christmas when travelling!
Cheers!
