I have been on this diet without cheating once for 2 weeks. How long does it take diet to eliminate acne?
I'm 47 and it still doesn't seem to work.
My diet:
Skinless chicken breast and seafood, mostly salmon
I eat veggies, mostly broccoli, cauliflower, and spring mix.
I add avocado and apple cider vinegar to my salad.
I only eat brown rice for my carbs, no oatmeal.
I only boil all my food, no pan sear or roast.
I don't add any oil to my food.
I don't eat dairy or fruit or sugar or nuts.
The fats I get are from salmon and avocado.
I read it could take 2-8 weeks for a pimple to form. So in theory if I had a perfect diet for 8 weeks, I shouldn't get acne?
Two weeks might be too soon to see clear results, especially since breakouts can take weeks to form. Your diet looks super clean, but acne can also be linked to hormones, stress, sleep, or gut health, not just food. If things dont improve after several more weeks, it might help to check in with a dermatologist.
