Tea Tree Oil

Hi!

I am a 16 year old boy, and I want to know your guys experiences with tea tree oil.
Recently, I had a few days off, so I went to CVS and bought some 100% Tea tree oil.
At home, I would mix some Natural Republic 92% Aloe Vera Gel on my hand, add 2 drops of tea tree oil, mix it up, and put it all over my face at night
The thing is, 6 days later, I notice some new red spots on my face becoming inflamed. I was like WTH?!, I thought tea tree oil was going to clear my face!
So, is this purging? Maybe now I could only apply the TTO directly on the new pimples, and hope they be gone soon.

Hi, I've personally never seen any effect from tea tree alone, however I've found that natural spot creams with Thyme in work wonders for me. I use Lush's Grease Lightening and it calms my spots really well.
