Hi All,
I have such a hard time deciding what to make for lunch at work since everything breaks me out.
I've looked at vegan recipes but a lot ( I know not all) use avacado or houmous which give me spots.
Can't eat pb & j sandwiches as any type of nut spread breaks me out
most meat alternatives are made of soya- also problematic for me.
I work full time so am reluctant to eat rice, pasta or bread everyday due to weight gain.
Finally I dislike most condiments including vinegar, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, hot sauce etc.
I usually end up eating fruit or roast vegetables but I'm getting so bored of eating the same thing everyday/week.
Can anyone recommend some easy make ahead lunches - I work/study so don't have much time on my hands.
Thanks
Next time you go grocery shopping, look for steam in bag quinoa. I got one the other day that was fantastic. It had quinoa, chickpeas, lentils and lots of spices. Put some salad greens in a container on one side with a squeeze of lemon and some olive oil and some of that quinoa on the other and you've got a filing, guilt free lunch.

Sounds delicious!! Thanks for the lunch idea!!
Thanks for the suggestion Skeptic,I'll definitely look out for the quinoa.
Ae1976- recently I've just been having fruit salad for lunch.
I have a lot of restrictions on what I can/cannot eat so I'm going to change my questions to what do you guys have for lunch that doesn't cause any breakouts?
I eat almost everything that has been cooked from scratch. The only thing that breaks me out is sugar. But I have also stopped eating packaged food for general skin health. So, for example, today I had rice with an omelette. Yesterday I had a stir fry with peppers, sausage and noodles.
Are you sure that avocado makes you breakout? Sounds like you need to eat properly and keep a food journal to check what makes you breakout. My concern for you is that you seem to have cut out most foods and that may cause other health problems.
Baked sweet potatoes. You can top them different ways to change them up. I used to eat sweet potatoes topped with sauteed greens & a tiny bit of feta as a go to lunch when I needed one.
