Could have to do with your skin care.  Soap, BP, etc.  

I'm 51 now and the last few years, suddenly people are telling me I have lovely skin. Apparently people don't see the scars or blotches as much as I do.  I also have several features that I've always had or had for years, that I think look like age, now that I am older. Or that won't age well.  Super thin skin/dark circles under my eyes. And my eye sockets are big and round making this a really prominent feature. I also have tiny acne scars on one side of my mouth right where the lines form around your mouth, which I think makes me look older & even less symetrical than I really am.  Still, I think I'm aging much better than most & have hopes for the future since I stopped interferring with my skin's ability to function with  soap a couple years ago.   But I did use BP & lots of harsh things for years when I was younger.
