I have had issues with my hyperseborrheic and hypersensitive skin for the last 20 years.
I had achieved more or less clear skin through the use of a gentle cleanser and moisturizer.
Last week I started a new brand of probiotics. I also tried eating cheese again, although I have lactose intolerance.
The combination was disastrous. Breakout in large red pustules with large whiteheads filled with pus and surrounding inflammation.
Add to this few couple of cystic pustules, the kind that take 4-5 days to come to head but which are already large, painful, visible and which you can almost feel is struggling to push the gunk from the pore each day until the whitehead fully formed.
What a mess.
Did anyone else experience such a rapid breakout from clear skin to multiple large pustules?
Any recommendation? I stopped all cheese and stopped the probiotic today.

YES. Just a while back I tried taking a probiotics supplements and my skin flared up pretty badly. I still wasn't sure if the breakouts were directly linked to the probiotics but my skin did calm down after I stopped.
But it could also be because of the cheese tho, in your case, since you have lactose intolerance. Just cut both away and see if the breakout would discontinue!

For me personally it would usually take around 3-4 weeks. It really takes time for the skin to calm down and for the inflammations to go down. But of course it also depends on your lifestyle and emotions I think!

It seems to be getting better but still reddish. I am trying to use moisturizer to help calm the redness and irritation. Not sure if it is good for my hyperseborrheic skin to be moisturized though.
