Hi all!

I just started taking i3c (precursor to DIM) and Vitex as directed by my naturopath. It has been a week since I started taking them, but my skin is resembling the condition a week before my period (when progesterone is the highest). No cysts. Just some bumps on my forehead and a few white heads on my chin, and nose. Nothing on my cheeks and jawline (knock on wood). Has anyone experienced an initial breakout or purge period? How long does it take to get over it?

I did a hormone test and my progesterone is low and my testosterone is high. I am not sure if I have high estrogen, but my progesterone to estrogen ratio is out of whack.

My naturopath encouraged me to continue as she wants to balance my hormones first. She also suggested this mud mask with colloidal silver in it.

Please tell me your experience in taking vitex or dim, especially if you've been taking it long term!

Thanks lots

Hannah

Hey could you type out everything on your hormone panel? It will better illustrate the background details and help with providing a calculated response for your question and the potential future progression.

Bloodwork doesn't tell all of the devil's details, but it's better than just saying my test is high or my progesterone is low.

I love vitex--been taking it about 2 years. 440 mg per day. I took DIM in the form of Estroblock. for awhile too with great success. My hormones were really whacked out from bc pills. I did try other brands of DIM but did not have an effect. I am 45 yrs old, with endometriosis. I think the longer women stay on bc pills, the more it screws up their hormones. It is hard to go off them but voted is a great way to rebalance your hormones.
