One a day vitamins are particularly tough, but even regular multivitamins make me very very nauseated. I've tried it all: take it in the morning, day, night; before, during, after meals - same thing! I tried splitting it into two and only taking half at a time - I ended up just getting random episodes of severe nausea at random times every day. Anyone else has this issue? Any advice?
Like Arul said, what kind are you taking? Not all multivitamins are good quality.
But a couple things I can recommend now:
- Consider taking a food-based multivitamin, as opposed to one that's all isolated chemicals.
- Maybe don't take a multivitamin at all? It's not clear that everyone benefits from them, especially when they're cheaply made. If there are specific nutrients you really need to add in for your skin, such as zinc, selenium, or things for other health conditions, consider just getting pills of those by themselves. Often people react worst to the B vitamins, and maybe you don't need those as a supplement anyway.
I have had the same problem. Whole food derived ones are the only ones that for me. The brand Garden of Life RAW is my favorite line. I like New Chapter. Alive made me nauseated slightly, but at least didn't with food. Aside of these brands I am always horribly nauseated taking them even with food.
