For me the foods i know that 100 percent breaks me out are

1. Chocolate

2. Dairy (Especially Cheese)

3. Fried Food

4. Any type of salad dressing

5. Peanuts/Peanut Butter Or Anything Resembling Nuts like Almonds

As for what foods i know that 100 percent doesn't break me out

1. Cucumber

2. Lettuce

3. Chicken Breast

I also read about one person here who mentions they break out whenever they eat oranges. I thought since orange is a fruit, its good for you but that person mentioned that its citrius fruit and very sweet with sugar so it causes it.

I also want to know does anyone here think apple can cause acne? I read about the eat apple to clear acne etc. But is there a chance eating too much apples could cause acne?

Also what about raw tomatoes? I been just cutting tomato into pieces like cucumber and just eating it raw. But is tomatoes bad for acne?

I'm also not sure about brown rice. I ate a ton of it for 2 months and my acne seemed to gotten worst. It wasn't that bad before i switched from white rice to brown rice. But now im not eating any rice at all.

I'm positive that most citrus break me out and I'm pretty sure it's an allergic reaction

I'm pretty sure nothing else breaks me out except high glycemic, low nutrient meal habits. Habits being the important word there. One meal, or one food isn't a problem as long as I mostly eat well, sleep well, etc.

It's not the sugar in the oranges. But the sugar in juice is an issue. Never drink juice without a meal with fat and fiber to lower the glycemic impact.

There's a chance that any of those foods could cause YOU to break out. You have to test for yourself. And don't eat tons of anyone thing, especially high sugar fruits like apples or nearly empty calories like rice.

I agree that eating tons of empty calories is bad... but what about eating tons of something like olive oil (say 5-6 tablespoons a day)?

I don't think that's good either. Olive oil is primarily oleic acid. Oleic acid is used for your sebum when linoleic acid is deficient. And that makes for sticky sebum that clogs pores. Besides, that's 5-600 calories. You need 5-600 calories from oil? And you can't make it a combo of oils? Have a couple tablespoons of coconut oil. Good for your thyroid. Or at least its good for people with thyroid issues. I've never seen clear info on that.

The reason I eat so much olive oil is because my diet is primarily high fat. The carbs I consume contain little calories.

Could the sticky sebum lead to acne (from olive oil)? Also, would coconut oil in excess cause acne? What about ghee?

Things that seemed to contribute to breakouts:

1. Dairy, especially skim milk and 2%. Whole milk seems to settle with my skin better. Commercial "common" mass-produced cheeses such as cheddar, provolone, swiss are the devil. This is just your typical commercial brand at the grocery store. I never really tried going all organic pasture-fed on all my dairy products so I can't common that.

2. MSG. It also consistently gives me a raging headache.

3. Soy milk. Only tried one or two brands and they definitely weren't organic.

4. Caffeine.

5. Chocolate.

6. Peanut butter.

7. B vitamin supplements (except B5, which actually helped)

8. Sugar, high carbs

9. Eating too much in one sitting

10. Eating only 3 times a day

11. Canned tuna

12. Most brands of mayonnaise and miracle whip (based on soybean oil)

13. Soybean oil

14. Whatever the hell they put in sweet and sour sauce

Things that don't seem to make me breakout:

1. Although most dairy is on the other list...I don't have reactions to specialty cheese such as Gouda and Feta. Full-fat authentic organic Greek yogurt seems to be fine as well.

2. Eating smaller meals throughout the day

3. Meat, even though I'm not currently buying pasture-fed organic meat or anything like that

4. Mayonnaise without soybean oil, I use an olive-oil based one now

5. Never pinpointed a reaction on any fruits or veggies

6. Really most food not on the first list I can tolerate

You been posting a lot about food etc. What acne do you have on your face? Is it moderate at least?

How come you never post any pics?

Every food I come in contact with seems to be a possible suspect for me. Which makes me think that food does not cause acne per se and instead a bigger picture is involved.

1. Dairy, especially cheese (which I still love and crave). Yoghurt wasnt as cruel to my skin as other dairy products but it still made it worse.

2. Soy milk - tried after i gave up dairy

3. Soda

Too much sugar, dairy, gluten ---> it all depends on the quantity though. And I recently figured out tomatoes, cider, and other histamine triggers break me out even in smaller quantities.

For me personally, dairy and eggs, both of which are highly inflammatory.

Raw chocolate (the bitter stuff). My dad partially grew up in a chocolate growing country and liked raw chocolate. Made me break out

Sugary things and excess carbs, especially refined carbs. Processed foods. My skin used to be very oily on a "healthy" diet (lots of whole grains, etc), but since eating low carb, whole foods, my skin is very normal, even if I don't wash it in the morning.

Dairy can be a trigger. Cultured or aged dairy isn't as bad. High quality cheese seems to be fine, in moderation.

Soy.

Too much fiber/anything that irritates my digestive system. This one is huge. Happy tummy, happy skin. If it makes you bloated or causes you pain, don't eat it. Raw brassicas (broccoli, kale, cabbage, etc.) kill my stomach (yes, even though they're "healthy")

Roasted nuts. Only raw is fine for me.

Vegetable oils. If I cheat a little on pretty much any of the above, I usually won't break out anymore, but vegetable oils will get me every time. Soybean, canola, corn, etc.

Most meat, veggies and fruit are safe for me.

Thing is for me, I can eat junk food for a week and not break out.,.. then bam break outs.

So I have to still test the cheese for longer

I get most acne from :

1. Milk

2. Anything that contains milk / cheese

3. Sugar / even natural sugar in fruits ( Apples / Bannanas / etc.)

4. Pig meat

5. Any type of oil (sun flower / olive / palm)

6. Ketchup / pepper , anything that is like that

7. Caffeine / excitants

8. Bread

9. Peanuts

10. eggs

11. SOY

12. Wine

I usually dont get acne from :

Beer

Cucumbers

Dark rice

Kinda almost all vegetables excluding red beans

That`s all I can eat sad.png if I want my face clean... vegetables, dark rice, a little chicken meat

Any suggestions to improve my diet ?
