What time of the day is best for vitamin d exposure? Is it midday?

Also, how long should someone with light brown skin be in the sun for?

The sun has to be high in the sky. between 45 and 90 I think. Your shadow should be shorter than you.

Well, when you say light brown skin, it means your skin has less melanin compared to someone with a darker skin, which is why you can absorb more Vitamin D in a shorter span of time. So for you about 30 mins in the afternoon sun would ideally do the trick.
