Importance Of Supplementation

I know the research on supplements is hazy (don't know if they actually work or not), but I am beginning to think that since our ancestors ate 200 different kinds of vegetables on a rotation basis, they got tons of micro-nutrients that we are lacking today. Most people only eat about 3-4 types of veggies.

The problem is, there are so many added ingredients to supplements, and I assume it would be ideal to find supplements with the least amount of added ingredients

What are some examples of added ingredients?

I just started taking natures bounty hair, skin and nails with 3mg of biotin. There are some people saying it caused acne. Got my fingers crossed on this one.

There are a number of common and inexpensive supplements be it both vitamin and mineral that we all need to take on a regular basis to help maintain immunity and make sure that our bones, blood, brain and nervous system are all working correctly. These include Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc, Selenium and Vitamin B Complex supplements.

Janet, do you take all these supplements?

I am contemplating if I should supplement with vitamin c? I am not sure if I am getting enough in my diet. Same thing with vitamin d (I am trying to increase my sun exposure), and other vitamins
