I question my friend asked.
Deal is, I'm trying to lose just the last few pounds. I've lost a bit over 25 so far, over the course of almost a year. I am a 16 year old female, 5'3'' and 118 lbs. I look rather fat still, with huge thighs and stubborn stomach rolls. I've been at the same weight for the past several months. I eat a very healthy diet, and not over 1200 calories a day. I also exercise frequently, doing the 30 day shred every other day, and running 3-4 miles on the other days. And nothing's happening. So, what if I did a fast? Just a 2ish day one, 3 days at the most, with water and green tea and vitamins? Would I just immediately gain the weight back? If I shouldn't, what should I do? Thanks so very much <3
A fast can't possibly work in the long run, or it wouldn't be a fast.
In circumstances like this, I find people's definition of "healthy" to be wildly variant. Maybe she's still eating a ton of refined carbs with "healthy" labels slapped on them by the manufacturer. Saying you're healthy doesn't really tell us much.
I personally believe that if you really want to lose weight and keep it off for a long time you have to eat healthy and exercise regularly. Basically, you say that you are eating healthy and exercising frequently, but do you sneak in a lot of carbs, sugar and starch in your diet? Also, fasting is really bad for the health, trust me on this, so please dont skip your meals or starve yourself.
