Hey guys and gals, I was just wondering if any of you had any success with natural antibiotics? I've done some research and the ones that come up again and again are garlic, aloe vera, mint, manuka honey, and tea tree oil. I've tried garlic before...for a few days, and the few days I was taking it I woke up with less inflamed acne. But I found the taste too strong- it just made me feel sick. I notice that when I mix it in with food rather than take it raw first thing in the morning, it just doesn't have the same effect, and I'm not sure that garlic capsules will work the same. I've tried manuka and cinnamon masks and it makes my skin smoother...but that's all I can say for now. As for taking it- it really improves my propensity to colds and gives me more energy! But does not help my acne. I'm allergic to tea tree and have tried aloe which just kind of soothes...so I guess my question is
do any of you know of other natural antibiotics? Have you taken any? (or are you interested in doing so?) And if you have, what are your results? Thank you so much, everyone!
I've had great success with natural antibiotics and am currently using them to treat small intestinal bacterial overgrowth which is exasperating my acne.. Many of them are also anti fungal which clears yeast out of your system as well. They strengthen the immune system, help circulation, digestion etc. Some can be strong so they can make you feel worse at first when you start taking them and may make breakouts temporarily worsen. This is due to the body being overloaded with toxins which are being released due to bad bacteria and yeast dying.
Natural antibiotics: coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, goldenseal, barberry, olive leaf, oregano oil, oregon grape root, clove oil, paul d'arco, peppermint oil, manuka honey internally, grapefruit seed extract.. there are many others as well.
Ginger root is another huge one. That stuff is also extremely anti-inflammatory. I'd consume it raw though. Maybe chop it up and blend it into a smoothie. I fear making a tea out of it will damage much of the beneficial properties
Vitamin C is anti everything. At least everything bad. And i recently discovered liposomal vitamin C, which can apparently be absorbed by the body in very large amounts. Here's a vid discussing it
