Mods, I am not sure if it is okay to post this. If not, feel free to close this thread.

Anyhow, I have smoked pot for 2-3 days straight (about a week ago), from a pipe and each time I took about 2-3 hits (big hits). I have gotten really severe breakouts on my shoulders, but I am not sure if these are just pimples that were gonna happen regardless, or if pot caused it. I do tend to get bad breakouts on my body (happened in the past two years).

Same question can be asked about hard liquor (I.e. i usually take 4-5 shots of hard liquor, but usually once a month, if that).

I've smoked (or somehow used) pot for most of my life. I've also taken years at a time away from it, and unfortunately, it had no positive effect on my skin.

I do think that smoking anything is somewhat inflammatory to your system, and considering acne is an inflammatory condition, this can't really help. I don't believe that marijuana in itself is inflammatory though. That's why it's best to vaporize it or eat it if you choose to use it. This way, you avoid any carcinogenic effects.

Weed could also affect your skin negatively or positively depending on how you react to it mentally. For some people it causes paranoia or panic attacks, which obviously would increase your stress levels and therefore worsen your acne. The opposite could also be true: If you're always stressed and weed allows you to experience an escape from that, it might provide some temporary relief to your skin problem. However, you can only escape deeply-stressful issues for so long, and eventually whatever you're running from will come out on way or another, so it isn't a long-term solution.

Lastly, you could simply have an allergy to weed. Some people do. But the fact that you already got acne in those places suggests it isn't that.

Ah, i have heard that you should eat it (pot brownies?) instead of smoking it.

I have only smoked it about 4-5 times (about 2-3 hits on average, one time i took 5-6 hits, big hits btw). I smoked it once from a bong (which is when i took 5-6 hits), and smoked it the rest through a pipe.

As sad as it is to admit, I am Definitely one of those who gets paranoid and panic attacks while on it. I guess the question begging to be asked is, why smoke it if it causes you this? Well one, i wanted to see if i needed to do it a little more in order to become relaxed (dumb idea), and I notice I have a blast when I am around other people and stoned... but if i am alone, i get scared, and experience really bad panic attacks.

Also, I noticed that there are times when i was high, where I would look in the mirror for like 20 minutes inspecting my acne, and I also kept touching my back acne (Touching as in feeling it with my fingers, not popping/scratching it or anything). I guess my thought process was "Am i irritating my acne?" and it took me so long to comprehend that idea that I kept on touching my acne (probably for 10-15 minutes).
