Hey Guys

I am 18 years old . I have been masturbating since I was 15 with almost everyday in in the beginning . I didn't suffer from acne till I was about 16 after then it flared up suddenly up to a point that it started to real bad . I couldn't figure out why is started until I didn't masturbate for 2 weeks and skin became totally clean . After that I started searching Internet and found numerous forum related to it . I can quit masturbating but then I suffer from nocturnal emission which have almost the similar effect on my since . The few points that I have come across are that its due to the testosterone changes , spike in the DHT levels, Zinc Deficiency or due to the temperature changes. Normally whenever I raise this question over the internet people just answer it by saying that it isn't caused by masturbation and give some useless advices . I have tired Taking zinc tablets but they didn't gave satisfactory results . I drink a lot of water my diet isn't that bad either and I do exercise everyday to keep the sweat glands active . If I go on without masturbation and nocturnal emission for about two weeks I could see the results but its normally ruined by nocturnal emission . Now I have started to become frustrated about it . It is affecting my confidence and life . I want to know whether there is a proper cure to either nocturnal emission or masturbation acne . I can try anything that won't have any side effects on my health.

Thanks

Check out my thread which goes a bit deeper into the theory of why masturbation causes acne:

http://www.acne.org/...may-cause-acne/

Basically masturbation/sex raise prolactin in the body. The more prolactin, the more 5-alpha-reductase. 5-alpha-reductase converts testosterone into dht which causes acne. These are all proven. In my thread i have links to each individual one. Zinc also is known to lower prolactin in the body and indireclty lowering dht. But that isn't enough for some people. I think that we may need to try to target prolactin rather than DHT because lowering prolactin will lower dht in the body. Personally I am trying to get a prolactin inhibitor called bromocriptine prescribed to me to see if it helps my acne. I have high hopes.

Yea bromo does have alot of side effects but I figure if i keep the dosage low i will minimize them. I am willing to take the side effects too. I have been dealing with acne for way too long and have tried countless methods and spent so much money. I don't think it will have too many negative effects compared to accutane. Accutane takes a long time to work with a very long initial breakout whereas bromo potentially will work immediatley. I believe that bromo lowers dht and raises testosterone. Also I have read someplace that we aren't even sure why men have prolactin and that lowering it in men shouldn't be a problem. Also if you look into some body builder forums, some of them take bromo to gain more muscle and lose fat.
