Hi everyone! I am new here and have been reading a lot of posts from this site for a while now.

Before I address my problems here is some info about myself:

I am a 19 year old female who had been dealing with mild acne and red spots on and off since I was 13. When I turned 18 I developed chronic inflammation on my eyelids called meibomian gland dysfunction. My doctor did not really give me much advice and said there isn't any cure for it. She recommended doxycycline 50mg a day. At the time I was on the birth control trinessa (was on it for about a year) so i stopped birthcontrol to take doxy. At first I didn't want to take antibiotics, but the inflammation was so bad I thought my eyes were going to be permanently damaged or red forever. I took it for about 5 months. It helped control my eye problem at first, but I was obviously still having problems. My during this time my face was nice and clear. My birth control seemed to be helping my skin. but When I stopped doxy, I didn't go back to my birthcontrol.

Another doctor said that if I cut out unhealthy food it would help my eyes; however, he did not give me a accurate list of what I can and cannot eat and did not really have any explanation. I am a very skinny girl, right now i'm 5'4 and i weigh 104 pounds so ever since I was younger i always ate like a pig to try on put on some weigh. The comments I would get about my weigh from other people were very hurtful so I continued to eat anything and everything desperate to gain weight. Even if I ate bad I would drop all the pounds the next day. Hence, is probably the reason I got into this mess...

Going back to my acne problem, I started to break out all over my face while I was in school after stopping doxy and birthcontrol. I did not know what was going on, thought it was from stress or something and continued to go about my day. Then when the problem did not seem to go away even when I wasn't stressed I started to become concerned. I started to think it was the weather or something and went crazy becuase I broke out before, but it was never that consistent. So a year later, I finally came across a video on youtube taking about how certain foods can cause acne. I started to think, "could something so simple such as diet be the cause of all my problems?"

So i started to research what I should and should not eat, learned a lot about health, eating better, what my body needs, etc.

That is when everything finally came together. Everything made sense. All the times when I ate junk food becuase it was "good" for me and my weight were actually doing more harm than good... I couldn't believe how a lot of people really don't know about this and how it took so long for me to figure it out. It also blew my mind becuase my doctor said that my eye condition MGD is related to skin problems.

so after I changed my diet my eyes also improved greatly. My skin is also less oily almost normal now and it is pretty shocking becuase i use to have really really disgusting oily skin. My chronic migraine headaches are completely gone and haven't come back.

I have only been on this diet for 2 months now so I'm still pretty new to everything. However, I need your guys help becuase I am not sure if I am getting all the vitamins I need becuase I'm on a very strict diet. I also try to get organic whenever I can and carefully read labels. Here is what I don't and do eat:

Don't eat/avoid:

1. wheat or grains. (no brown or white rice either. it cuased be to breakout, and have red spots that itch)

2. Dairy

3. Meat (got bad breakouts from eating organic chicken thighs. still trying to figure out if I should even eat meat.

4. Sugar

5. Bananas

6. processed foods

7. Nuts (thinking about trying almonds)

8. Eggs (not sure if I should eat it, but I plan to try it. When I do it has to be good quality, organic, free range)

9. Hydrogenated oils

8. coffee, alcohol, soda, etc

What I eat:

1. Vegetables (raw spinach, carrots, taro, cabbage/salads without dressing, broccoli, cucumbers, and asparagus)

3. Fruit (Apples, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, mango, papaya, pineapple, etc.)

2. Fish (wild caught salmon, mullet, sardines, tilapia, ahi tuna, mahi mahi and sometimes black cod fish)

3. Others: Okinawan sweet potato and plaintains.

4. Drink lemon water, filtered water, and dextox / herbal teas.

I cook with extra virgin coconut oil, use olive oil, sea salt, garlic, pepper, herbs, and onions to taste. Lately i have been using ground saigon cinnamon on my sweet pataos and plaintains becuase I heard cinnomon is good for you and it just makes it taste even more awesome!

I have also cut out most of my vitamins becuase my multi - vitamin contains L-gultamine. My mother gave me a free form L-gultamine a couple weeks a go becuase I was had too much acid in my stomach and it was inflamed. (what the doctor said) It cuased me a great amount of pain. Now I'm only taking vitamin B5 500mg, potassim 99mg, taurine 500mg, B12, wild yam root, and a calcium and magesnium pill. So far my face is looking a lot better and is less oily since I stopped taking my multi - vitamin and other vitamins such as zinc that made me breakout / or made my skin itch. However, when I was taking all those vitamins I had so much energy! I was practically awake all day and it made me feel great. But its been a few days and I am so tired now. I don't feel like doing anything and feel like sleeping.

My boyfriend even said I look really really out of it like im high or something lol. My skin is dong better almost clear so I'm a little confused?

I'm going to the health store tommorrow with my friend and look for a powdered or luquild vitamin that doesn't break me out or contain ingredients that I'm not found of. It just doesn't feel normal to be this tired and I'm going to start a new job pretty soon so I want to figure it out. Does anyone have any suggestions on what this could be? Could it be my diet? The vitamins? Thank you so much for anyone who has taken the time to read this.

If any of you are interested in how I eat everyday this is usually how it goes:

1. breakfast: sweet pataoe with cinnomon.

snack: Fruit, like strawberries or apples alone or with honey. (raw, unfiltered)

2. Lunch: salmon fish cooked with lemon jiuce, garlic, dill, and coconut oil, with lots of broccoli on the side.

snack: handful of baby carrots becuase they are easy

3. Dinner: plaintains cooked with coconut oil and sprinkled with cinnomon, an hour later some fruit or

if I'm still hungry canned sardines fish with raw spinach.

Anways snacking on lots of sweet potatos, and the usual fruit, or carrots.

Do you guys think eating like this is good enough? or am I missing something that is cuasing me to be so tired? Also, does anyone have suggestions on how I can put on some weight? I accept the fact that I might be skinny forever.

I'll let somebody better qualified give a greater response, but to ask the obvious are you eating enough? Are you using much coconut oil for cooking? -apparently thats your only source of fat. I wouldnt consider taking birth control and I struggle to fathom how you manage to take all those pills, so I cant really say any more than that

I eat enough to get full. I also eat and snack throughout the day. I don't allow myself to go on with an empty stomach and always make sure I am feed. I heard that fish is a good source of fat. I eat fish everyday. (sardines or salmon) I was and still am currently suffering from gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining) due to too much acid in my stomach most likely from stress (what my doctor said) or for some unknown reason. I do have a lot of stress in my life from my parents especially my mom always trying to pick fights with me. I also always stress a lot for no reason becuase of the way I grew up I am always being criticized or judged by my family so I am always really hard on myself. If I do stress out (like how I did a few days ago when i got into a really bad fight with my mom) My stomach was throbbing/hurting so bad. The pain subsided when I finally relaxed. It was so weird o.O

I use about 3-4 tablespoons of coconut oil a day. i will never take birth control again. It made me so moody. I was taking a lot more pills than that (a multi-vitamin, zinc, b-complex, and cod liver oil) but it made my face worse and more oily so now i'm realizing that it was probably one of the ingredients so im only sticking to the ones that don't seem to give me problems and see where to go from there.

Update:

So I started taking a hypoallergenic Multi Vitamin from Down to Earth store and it seems to be helping my energy.

I also started to eat more healthy fats in my diet and also added coconut flour to make homemade onion rings. They're very tasty :D

I also realized that I probably have candida so i completely cut out fruits from my diet (I also don't eat any sugar). And I realized that fruits where causing indigestion and horrible upset stomach. So after I cut those out I no longer have stomach problems and I am feeling great.

Pretty soon I am going to try organic ground beef so I can gain more weight. I couldn't find any other organic beef other than the ground beef so I guess that will have to do /:

Your list of foods sounds great and the improvements you've seen show you are on the right track. Is your lunch you bigget meal of the day? Because you don't have much for dinner. (neither do I)

Is the apple small? Because there's a lot of sugar in today's apples and it can spike blood sugar when not eaten with some fat or protein to slw absorption.

Definitely try eggs from pastured hens and almonds. Almond butter is delicious with apples.

On the other hand, since so many things seem to cause bloating and other digestive symptoms, you should consider your digestive tract health. Eat healing foods and avoid things that are difficult to digest, such as all seeds.
