Sorry about the title. I meant "Is my acne internal?"
My acne is getting worse and from the previous post i made, i was told to look into my diet. I just want some people to take a look and give me your input. I will be starting a new diet next week, so i'm going to do a lot of research. Any suggestions would be useful. So far my skin reacts to sweets, avocados, salmon, carrots, spinach, diary, and bread.
Also want to add in that i've very stressed out lately.
Thank you for your time
As you know acne can be an indication of many different problems. I cant even say 100% that it is acne that you have! You might have anything. Lets assume you do have acne. I can only share with you my experience, but I do have a lot of experience.
Is your acne internal? Nobody can tell you that with such little info, Im not even sure thats a proper sentence lol. My advice to everyone, and that I try to follow is:
Eat well, keep good oral hygeine, get plenty of fresh air, sunshine, exercise, sweat, dont scratch/pick/sleep on your face, and finally keep your face clean..
Of those points, there is most margin for error in diet, but each point is individually capable of giving you bad skin so be careful about all of them. Avoiding avacado, salmon, spinach and carrot seems crazy to me, but a lot of ppl here seem crazy to me so maybe im the irrational one. Best wishes,
There could be so many causes and reactions that cause your acne that it's almost impossible to tell you where to start, but acne IS coming from the inside, it is not actually an external problem. It can be HEALED externally if you are unable to do anything about it on the inside, but you'll need to start entirely from scratch to get this nightmare over with.
I have a couple of links on my profile that you are more than welcome to look into, as well as some books in my gallery with quotes. There is an abundant amount of resources in the nutritional boards here so you are definitely in the right place, but it's going to take you months to read and learn everything that you'll need to know about acne. I would recommend starting here ---> http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php/topic/230714-good-things-for-the-many-factors-that-lead-to-acne/ .
You'll need to take a pen and paper (or your computer), and write down EVERYTHING you eat and drink, and write down the times you consumed these things. Write down your sleep schedule as well as any other stressors you may have throughout your day. Gradually share everything with people here and they will be more than happy to critique you on what you may be missing.
it is not uncommon for acne to get worse with age. In fact, it will most likely always get worse with age for those of us who have always had it worse and longer than others.
I find it incredibly unlikely that salmon makes your skin react in a bad way. Bread (gluten) yes, dairy yes, and sugar yes... but salmon? Strange, but I wont question you on that. Unless you were coating it with something that makes you react badly (certain seasonings) and combining certain vegetables on your plate that you may actually not be digesting properly, I would seriously consider giving it another go.
You'll need time to read through everything here, but the link above is your best bet. It'll take some determination and sobering up, but I'm sure you'll be fine .
I wish you the best of luck!!

Hello there,
I will look into that link you provided and mark down my diet, sleeping schedule and stressors. I will post them up when i have gotten everything down.
I am not sure if salmon causes acne for me, but it does make my skin more oily then next day..I'm guessing it's from the omegas? Don't get me wrong, i LOVE salmon. I just wished that it didn't react with my skin. I usually bake it with some garlic, ginger, salt and pepper and eat it with lemon juice (sometimes, most times i eat it without lemon juice.
Thank you for your input, very much appreciated 🙂

Skin is oily from sugar, overeating, high GI foods, and so fourth. Oily fish is actually a good thing! The fish's "oil" doesn't actually come out of your pores. I, in fact, swallow olive oil daily to keep my skin oil free. Don't let the names and terms confuse you, they are completely different worlds. But you know yourself best. It's just that I have never heard of salmon causing oily skin and breakouts. Are you eating it alone? Do you add other foods to the plate? Sometimes when you begin to eat healthy, your body begins to force out the toxins, creating acne and other skin irritations. They usually subside when your toxins have been removed. Please don't give up on fish, it is one of the most single important food type for ALL acne sufferers. There are plenty of other types of fish out there for you to eat.
But in regards to seasonings and other foods, we are all different, so by all means please avoid food that makes you irritated. Good luck!
