Vitamin B5 Is Not Working For Me - Why?

I have long had oily skin in the face. Both fet and red skin. Highly sensitive, too.

At first I washed my face too often and when I turn fatter and fatter in the face. But I had no pimples anymore. But since I have started to rub me with a moisturizing milk. The result been better. Now today I have no pimples and small blackheads on my nose.

The problem is that I still have oily skin on the face. This leads to small blackheads that clog pores and make them inflamed. The formation of red marks.

I have tried absolutely every point. Expensive products, moisturizing creams and fat, and vitamin B5 and vitamin C.

Today, I clean the face with a simple basic soaps, sometimes so do I clean with a facial scrub. After that I moisturize with a moisturizing milk which is a bit greasy, not too greasy, but good for oily face.

I have to moisturize, otherwise I become so greasy skin. But no matter what I do, I get yet oily and red in the face.

Clean skin is the body produces oily skin = red marks

Impure skin is the body produces less oily skin = red marks

Every time I clean the skin so I notice a short time the skin is less red and have a normal color. Then it takes me a while to get the red skin again because of the fatty skin.

You often find on google images that people with oily skin has different colors of skin, but people who have non oily skin, these are the normal color of his skin.

So here I have my new one:

(Only the red marks, not the pimples)

and:

or (except pimples):

The last picture you can see the color difference on the forehead and around the eye.

Such problems do I have. I get that problem when I have oily skin, but around the eye, it's normal skin.

Therefore, I have watched a little about Vitamin B5, and it does not work for me. I had tested it for about 3 months without any results. I saw today that the body breaks down Vitamin B5 to Coenzyme-A. Therefore, I wonder if I could eat Coenzyme-A directly, instead of Vitamin B5? Coenzyme-A to reduce facial fat as they say.

Do you have other suggestions on how I can solve my problems?

Problem: Red marks and oily skin

Solution: Clean skin - But how?

My last solution is to take roaccutane.

Thanks

take ALC along with a low dose of b5. i take 500mg of each daily but u could do 1g or so and see if that helps. ALC increases the absorption of b5. I take b6 at night along with 30mgs of Loptic zinc and i can tell a difference there too. i was taking 100mgs of zinc for a long time and it helped for long term thats bad for copper balance and i was getting gastritis(inflammation in my gI track)

i like to pair what works for me together to get better benefit. although its not cheap solution and like b6 can cause increased urination, especially when are taking magnesium along with or have high levels of it. Magnesium, b6, and vitamin c act as diuretics. they help expel fluid from the body; have to be careful not to over do it tho.

just my advise.

Thank you. Im think I gonna start with vitamin B5 agin with a low dose. My stomack doesen't like the vitamin B5 at first, but i alwasy get mild or severe diarrhea with vitamin B5.

But what is ALC and does it make that the body use the vitamin B5 more effective? If yes: How does it work?

So i don't need 10 g each day, only eg. 1 g?

Im taking vitamin b5 powder, not vitamin B5 pills.

I dont know the exact science but this might help explain in general

http://acetyllcarnitine.org/

it is suppose to absorb b5 better than taking b5 alone. There is a thread called the vegetable juice thread where a guy says all he takes is b5 and l-carnitine. acetylcarnitine is the active forum of L-carnitine which is supposed to better. This combo is pretty damn effective as i use it my self. It takes awhile to adjust (took me 2wks) but i can definitely tell the difference. Now you may be different and require a gram a day rather than just 500mg like me. Everyone is not the same. And this isnt the sole thing thats gonna fix you over night. Its just 1 step that helps manage it.

But be aware that ALC can increase your appetite. I workout so this is okay for me and food has little to no affect on me so im alright with it. Others might not be.

Are you sure that there will be a difference if I take ALC and Vitamin B5 together?

Do you have any clue why Vitamin B5 powder did not worked on me?

i dont know. everyone is different. when i started taking b5 i had active breakouts but they were somewhat under control from my topical regimen. I started b5 because i noticed that breakouts consist of nodules that would always ooze oil/fluid. now i dont have this problem per say because b5 has helped dry up that excess oil. my skin is normal otherwise but i would say i have a tendency to be oily. b5 is supposed to help. its not some super medicine that is going to cure everyone. you have to be your own advocate and recognize the signs and then make a call on whether or not something is going to help. To reduce the nodule acne i would normally get i have to use SA and exfoliate regularly to prevent clogged pores. this has come from me trying to understand acne and better treat it for me.

so i cant say if its going to help. what i can say is that alc DOES increase the absorption of b5 but whether it works or not i have no idea. I started with the pills because its convenient for me. No idea why the power doesn't help. I would try pills because it could metabolize too soon leading to not being absorbed. idk just an assumption. This is where you do research on your own.

When i started my regimen i looked at what supplements help and what is going to help them perform better and also why does some supplements come combined with others like Fish oil and coq10 together or ALC and ALA (alpha lipoic acid),. i did my reading and then decided that my course of action would be to incorporate them into my regimen.

a brief statement on my regimen and why i use it (just a few reasons):

fish oil-helps with inflammation, hydrates skin/hair/nails

EPA is known to inhibit androgen formation

Coq10 -helps produce energy (ATP)

prevents toxin overload

aids in collagen production

excellent antioxidant

Acts as a preservative for fish oil (read that somewhere recently)

B5 Reduces oil production

manages sodium levels and can reduce B/P

Helps with mood and supports adrenal glands

ALC supports b5 absorption

supports fat metabolism/energy production CoA formation (good for me because i work out)

Supports cognitive function as well

ALA Excellent antioxidant

reduces inflammation

regulates blood sugar (great for those with insulin resistance and breakouts from it)

recycles Vitamin C and E (both antioxidants)

Zinc Healing properties

DHT inhibitor

anti inflammatory

immune booster

B6 Aids in Zinc absorption

balance hormones

strengthen the immune system

aids serotonin. serotonin then leads to melatonin production which is a powerful antioxidant and aids in sleep

B3 Lowers LDL and increase HDL

assists in the energy production

But mostly take it because its suppose to aid in sleep which i sometimes have trouble with.

Pro biotic keeps me regular

prevents foods from rotting in the gut (i eat alot)

immune booster

Can even metabolize or aid in absorption of B5

It becomes alot of pills to take but they help. B3 not so much but the rest. Yea they do. THis works for me because i have done the research on what my body needs and what works for me. I came to this because ive taken zinc 100mgs daily, Vitamin A 25000iu daily and i had no results or terrible side affects, even dangerous. its then that i new i had to just do more than just take pills and walk away.

ALC helps b5. probiotics help b5 somewhat.

ALA recycles C and E. ALA helps with inflammation, blood sugar, some say for skin healing and scars. (i think topically would be better but thats just my opinion)

C is unnecessary imo because if you eat right you get your vitamin c that way which is better than popping pills. Same with vitamin E. Vitamin E in high doses not only thins the blood but can also act as a pro oxidant and cause free radical damage. I read that somewhere recently. Thats why they suggest ALA to recycle E aswell as C.

B vitamins increase cell proliferation (new growth). B5, B6, B3 are my b vitamins. I dont like taking a complex because of biotin and i dont need extra b12 or b1 because i get them from the way i eat anyway.

I guess its more of a female thing as b6 aids in balancing hormones for women and their monthly change. Im not sure if there is aid for males but could be. I take it for zinc absorption as i've said

I've been taking B5 for two days, only 1-2 grams a day. My red marks look three or four times more red than usual. I guess I should stop taking it then, eh?
