I eat a lot of bananas.. good or bad?
They break a lot of people out but my guess is that it's probably because they're eating them when they're overly ripe (ideally you should be eating them when they're still sort of green) or eating them in conjunction with a bunch of other fruit which can impact the GL greatly. I say limit it but don't worry about it too much.
hey wait a minute, werent it otherwise, that ripe fruits r better for u than unripe bcz of those protective acids or something bcz of which u shouldnt be eating unripe fruits?
or what?
or is it again, just pick less harmful option, but it cant be ideal anywayz?
well bleh, some fruit just cant hurt anyhow imo >_>
Bananas are really complex in that sense. I wouldn't recommend eating unripe fruits. And green bananas ARE ripe, they're just not fully developed if that makes thing easier. Bananas are really starchy so the starch converts to sugar over time. So younger "unripened" green bananas are more starch and less sugar.
Do you own a glucose testing kit by any chance pokemonster? Whenever I eat just regular yellow bananas, my glucose readings are somewhere around 134-140. With the green ones it's usually around 110-122. I'm not sure why there's a bigger range with the green ones than the yellow ones but that's been my personal experience.
but ofc i have no kits n no patience to be occupied with all those things dude but thnx ill keep in mind the banana info, since i just try eat less sugar but i dont go into all those details n stuff too much tho
can u tell more about tea fasts plz? how long? how much tea? which teas yes? which nope? water too? do u lose or gain energy during this? effects?
I would say nuts in moderation only since they're high in inflammatory omega 6s. So plain greek yogurt (the ones with 7-8 g of sugar and 20g protein) with a table spoon of flax seed and a table spoon of almond butter is pretty good. Another choice would be dark chocolate, I mean the ones 85% or higher, with a low sugar berry .
TO THE PERSON THAT WANTED ME TO ELABORATE ON THE PINEAPPLE FAST:
Yeah sure... *Moderator edit - URL removed*
Read that stuff and the pages of stuff before it. Good stuff.
And F MY A dudes.. I just ate sunflower seeds, but after eating like a thousand of them my friend told me that they were the ranch kind!!! and when I read the ingredients it was filled with everything I was trying to avoid. fml.
Don't overthink shit man. I only did it once and I just drank green tea/cinnamon tea/digestive tea and stuff like that. Not a big deal or anything strict.
Anyways, you definitely don't want to eat those seeds. Only eat them plain. (And by plain I mean no salt or vegetable oil)
Just whatever. It doesn't really matter. I don't think it would make an entirely significant difference if you only kept it to one type of tea, or if you just simply drank water.
I would do it more often except I'm too active for that.
P.S: If you have a lot of questions like this you can just PM me..
My favorite snacks are yummy quick salads. Fresh organic baby greens, tons of sprouts, olives, avocado... then toss it in a dressing made from lemon juice and olive oil + some dried herbs is nice. I like Thyme and basil on mine.
It's great because you can make a small one in about five minutes for a quick meal or snack.
YUM!
Oh and I wanted to add- if you eat raw almonds be sure to soak them before hand. Purely raw isn't too good, they contain some not so good stuff that is neutralized by the beginning of the sprouting process (soaking). Soaked they are much more easily digestible and better for you. Plus I find them tastier that way.
Yeah, I remember eating soaked almonds. Nice and soft, and taste great too.
What about pistachios? I bought some without the shell and only ate a handful and wanted to make sure they were safe. lol.
Oh, and about the rolled oats, are they in the soy/gluten category or anything like that that's bad for acne? I down mouthfuls of Quaker Oats plain kind and they don't taste too good, but they keep me full.
another edit.... Do you eat avocado raw or what do you do with it? How does it taste? I've never had it before.
Oats don't contain gluten but you can bet your ass they are contaminated with it, especially with a brand like that. You could buy Bob's Red Mill steel cut oats (or rolled if you prefer, whatever) by 25 lb bags and that's a good way to save money and your health at the same time.
