[*]Take 4,000 IU of vitamin D3 a day or go sunbathing/use a tanning bed on a daily basis.
Hey REAL WORLD HEALTHOID> what do you recommend for this ^^^
since sunbathing in New York is not really feasible at this time and i can't get to good tanning beds on a daily basis...
i gotta inquire about the ones they have at my gym, but when i go there i want to work out you know...
WOuld taking the Now Foods Brand Vitamin D-3 (5000IU) be taking too much or would it be ok?
Or would you recommend taking 4 tablets of the Nature Made Vitamin D 1,000 IU kind?? it says it's made from D3 so i think this is ok>>
there is also the Life Extension - Vitamin D3 (1000iu),
all these are on Amazon, what would you recommend RW HEALTHOID>??

5,000 is OK, but I would get your vitamin D tested regularly (about every 6 months) to make sure you don't get too much.
4,000 is safer, but still, if you are taking the supplements its probably a good idea to get a vitamin D test anyway (they are pretty affordable, like 75 bucks).
this seems pretty alright, but a lot of people are going to get screwed over by quitting topicals like BP and AHA.
...I don't know about this -- quitting topicals was a godsend for me. I use aspirin and jojoba oil as needed, but that's it. My skin was never WORSE than when I was using lots of topicals. BP nearly made my eyes swell shut. I tried lots of natural/holistic skincare lines too and they all caused terrible inflammation.
For me a paleo-esque diet plus bioidentical progesterone to correct a severe progesterone deficiency (one that did not respond to nutritional/lifestyle treatment alone) is what got me clear. I have been mostly clear for a while now, and I only break out noticeably when I've been eating poorly, not sleeping enough, etc. Basically what Healthoid is outlining has worked for me as well, with the addition of the progesterone.
Still working on the red marks and scars, which are slowly but surely fading. Slow process but I'm getting there.
Hi murmur...I've never posted on here before but thought i'd give it a go. I've recently started back on the no sugar/wheat/gluten/dairy and it has helped before. But, I'm 30, female and am thinking that some of this acne may be related to hormones. How did you find out your progesterone was low. I've recently been in for blood tests for celiac and thyroid (waiting for the results). Thanks for any help.
I know this diet, but I hate it! because I hate caveman, they are stupid ugly monkeys, they were dumb, uuugly~ and lived short lifes and in cave, I dont want them to be my ancestors!plus I dont want to eat meat and fish or other little guys just because of some frikkin d vitamin or something! I hate caveman and my stupid caveman descendant body! I want to be originated from beautiful and highly intelectual alien people who have epic strong dna which can adapt to like aanything plus have cool superpowers!!
plus why do we have to mimic some freaking ancestors? we are we, right here and now and we are not caveman anymore, stupid body and blood type should just readjust to our changes, this paleo thing just pisses me off
This post resonates within my soul right now. I feel your pain.
I crave wheat and dairy so much. >.>
So i have been a following a diet like this (20 -30 % of my diet is veggies, than 10-15 % is fruits, than rest is meats, fats).
I wonder if eating organ meats is more preferable than eating just chicken/steaks/beef/pork?
Most of my meat is grass feed/pasture raised... but i do at times eat non grass fed chicken/pork.
What type of fats should i be consuming and how much saturated fat per day? I usually eat avocado (half of avocado a day), fish (salmon atlantic and alaskan, halibut, trout) probably 4-5 times a week, olive oil, swiss cheese, fat from meats such as beef and pork, fat of the chicken.
