i get more acne on my right side. generally speaking, the right side of my body is weaker, even though i'm right-handed. I have a crown on my lower right 1st molar. My vision is weaker in my right eye. I have more pain in my right knee when i walk for very long periods. My hair is a bit more receded on my right than on the left. i've also noticed that my right eye doesn't open as wide as the left. It seems like i'm getting more asymmetrical as i get older.
OK, if anyone has read my thread on the lymphatic drainage system, you'll understand this better, but here's the gist-
The Lymphatic Drainage System is a system of fluid that goes through your body carrying out toxins. Most people are familiar with Lymph Nodes. The ones on your neck often swell if you're sick. The LDS has no pump like blood does, and sometimes it stops flowing if you're stressed or sick or not exercising adequately. When it stops, the areas around it become prone to infection. The LDS lines in the face are located from the temples and down the cheeks and from the corners of your mouth downward to your chin.
Many people get much of their acne here. I know I did.
So what does this have to do with sides? Take a look at this picture:
Now I almost always sleep on my left side. I avoid the pillow, but my face touches is normally in the end. Yet, it's the RIGHT side I have problems with, and so far, the poll has shown the same results.
The LDS has something to do with acne for many people with acne especially on the sides of the face/chin. I can say this confidently, because this is just holistic thinking. it's part of your body, and if it's not functioning right, it will affect the rest of your body. The effect with this is more direct on your skin.
So here's the bottom line-I want to find out if the fact that the bodies' right side LDS is so much smaller may make it weaker and make the right side more acne prone.
I'm not claiming anything, this is merely for research purposes to try to learn more about acne and what people can do to eradicate it.
P.S. to Aurora-that's great you're clear Just understand that fiber, while important, is not the cure for everyone
Even when I had bad acne, I was still eating plenty of fiber and pooping every day

No, I was getting at least 30 grams and eating very healthy (low sugar, no junk). I'm sure it helped some (fiber IS important!) but for me, it was a lot of things.
One of my problems was lack of activity and stress, which caused my LDS to slow down.
Another big one of my problems was harsh cleansers 9I have extremely sensitive skin), although that is unrelated.
I am not completely clear, but I am definitely close. This is from stress control, exercise, healthy diet *with plenty of fiber*, and an all natural face regimen.
I have the feeling that i get most on the side i sleep on! But i also have a feeling that its just a stupid feeling and that im just thinking stupid things. Im trying to sleep on the back of my head. But that is resulting in some sleepless nights. (bad sleeper) But im making progress in this.
I'm weird I sleep on both sides pretty much 50/50... I switch sides like every 5 minutes until I fall asleep so it just depends when I fall asleep... But anyway I have more acne on the right side of my face, especially around my chin and jaw line. My right cheek is also more blotchy and my right eye is worse than my left. although I don't know if eyes have anything to do with the lymphatic system just thought I'd throw that out their as someone else did.
I think we all have the same kind of problem because I had acne too more on the right side especially on the cheeks...and also I sleep on my back... because I don't want to put my face on the pillow or sht else... ( Now I'm on treatment and I almost cleared my face but I still really have some little scars.
My right side is worse as well. Personally I think it's because the right side of your face is the masculine side and the left side of your face is the feminine side. The masculine side could easily be susceptible to testosterone imbalances that could trigger acne flare-ups. I might be wrong but from what I've read there are many that have tried to use their phones on the opposite side of their face and changing their pillow case every night and still aren't getting any improvement. Seems to be much more of an internal battle inside the body than one that can be easily conquered externally. Seems like a lot of people experience this.
