Way to go Dolan :) Since tomorrow is the 1st, starts my "no more jerking". I'm going to set realistic goals, it's not realistic to say I'll never do it again, but go as long as possible without. Hopefully this time I will be determined enough.

It will be interesting to see if it's just masturbation or any kind of sexual release that causes me to breakout. Yesterday I didn't masturbate, but I did get some. So we shall see..

after my saw palmetto+vit A and i don't have oily skin for 3 months now, but this means nothing to acne. it's unrelated to oilly skin. try it if u don't believe it.

Strange how people that don't have oily skin can also have acne. Makes you think if oil does not cause acne then how come acctuane works so well.....

I thought you said in your personal log that your oily skin came back when you started using BP?

yes the first 2-3 days. i don't have any idea how why, but after that i stopped.

what's so hard in taking a synthetic vit. A which costs 1,5 dollars (the first 3days it sais to take the double dosage: 2pills/day, and in this period my face was so dry that it was flacky all over. after that, with only 1 pill/day it's just dryish). and also saw palmetto without beeing standardised to 85/90% fatty acids (it has only 25%), well this costs a bit more, but still only 7,5$.

i would like somebody to quote my post and say: "yes it works" or not, who knows maybe it's my diet that changed the oilly skin ..but i haven't changed it tha much to be significant. what, that i'm eating a bit of cabbage almost everyday? common..

What vitamin A product do you use?

Just a small update from me, been 3 full days now. So far so good, no really big temptations to break my pact *knock on wood*. My face is looking alright, no new breakouts, just whatever was there and forming from the 31st. Usually by day 6-7 I'm seeing clarity so I'm excited for that!

If you're looking for a good vitamin A supplement, GNC has 10,000 IU capsules that I was a big fan of back when I went on a vitamin kick (literally bought every vitamin in GNC, spending about $200). It was really the only one that I saw a difference with. Helped with overall breakouts and reduced oil.

Hey everyone I've been trying to quit masturbation for 2-3 years, been addicted since I was 14-15 until now (almost 25), so almost a decade of my life.

First year of trying to quit was hell, kept lying to myself and saying "next time, next time, next time" and cheating all the time.

Second year I realized that I was actually addicted and how I was acting like an addict with myself, so I started taking real steps like no longer cheating, no longer watching porn, settings goals etc.

Third year will end this summer I think, and it's the best year yet. From spring last April when I joined these forums up to today I masturbated less than or about 30 times, so that's 2-3 times a month, versus masturbating almost daily 2-3 years ago.

The trick if you're starting out is to:

Set goals: promise yourself you'll allow yourself to masturbate after say 5 days or 10 days, then when you reach that period do it. Repeat and keep lenghtening this period, the more often you do it the easier it gets. When you reach 5 days you don't even HAVE to masturbate, you can try going longer.

Never do it twice when you give up. Do it once, whether it was amazing or meh, then reset the counter for your goal.

One of the most important things: don't ever, ever watch porn. Porn leads to hand down your pants, leads to edging, leads to you feeling guilty for not controlling yourself, leads to orgasm.

Study, exercise, find a job, keep yourself busy.

After going 2-3 weeks a couple of times you realize your sex drive diminishes after that time frame and it even becomes easier. You start feeling weird like "why don't I feel like masturbating?". That's normal lol. That's your brain no longer being dependant on the pleasure drugs from orgasms like it was before.

Good luck, for many people the results in both mental and skin health are great, me being one of them.

I have to try that DIM supplement, but I don't know what kind of black market prices you are talking about LeadingForce. IHerb has DIM, cheapest is 120 100mg tablets 22.39 USD.. Not very cheap if you have to use 200mg per day..

I quit for one weekend because I was at a friend's cabin and when I got back my face was almost completely clear. And the whole time I was there I didn't have a shower or use any face products or anything. I usually have showers every morning and night but I always have acne issues. That is probably because I masturbate every time I have a shower :3

Have you considered that the reason you cleared up in that weekend is because you were:

A.) In the sunlight/outside (I assume you didn't stay in the cabin for that entire weekend)

B.) Consumed more fat/BBQ food

C.) Were around positive people and having a good time

D.) Less stress/worrying about your skin

E.) Less irritation to your skin from washing with face products/mechanical scrubbing.

About two years ago i stopped masturbating for about 3 months. My skin had never looked as clear as it did by the end of that third month. After that i decided to start doing it again thinking that i was cured from it. I even thought that masturbation had nothing to do with it clearing up. Surely enough, my acne came back worse than ever. Now, i have stopped for almost two months and my acne is almost completely gone.

side note: I am also taking a zinc supplement, and have a healthy diet

So this is more or less about male masturbation? As a female, I notice no correlation other than masturbation just makes me want real sex and when I have a lot of sex, my skin is clearer. I think it's the sweat clearing the gunk out of my pores because i notice the same benefit when I go to the gym regularly.

If only my busy schedule permitted tons of sex and gym visits, I might have clear skin!

yeah im pretty sure there is a link between weed stroking and acne. its been like 4 days no masturbating but still chiefing. my face has made a huge improvement. so im thinking it has to be the combination of and over strokin. and i thought i had food allergies, candida and all this bullshit smh if you smoke, quit squeezing tip

i saw the correlation between masturbation and acne so many times... testosteron lvl in every 7 day after ejaculation makes my face look horrible, then im healing day after day. Abstaining is not a problem for me, last time i was around 20 days without fapping but i had been getting pimples all that time, i dunno why. so i did jerk off yesterday to reset my hormonal lvls and want to see how it will be going now.

day 2 is over.

Sex is linked to hormones so yeah I could agree with you on a somewhat related note.

omfg i did jerk off, now gonna sink this fckn' habit again. it wasn't "clear" abstaining at all, i had too much of dirty scenes in my head last week. i dont even believe to myself anymore, i'll just try to live the next ~15 days like a robot, no more promises, no more shit.

i'm getting plenty of breakouts last week, i can't abstain like that anymore, After every jerking my skin in the next 5 days looks so clean but after testosterone spike my face looks like pizza. i don't understand if testosterone spike on the 7 day why then i still break out so hardly even after 3 weeks of abstaining? is that mean i should just masturbate every week to keep my skin clear till my puberty (if it is the reason, im 18) gone? but i hate masturbation. is there anyone in this thread?

hey guys i think im really unlucky with the whole thing, i can go a month without masturbating, and my acne will really clear up, almost 100%, then i do it once after this time and after a day, BAM... another fairly large acne breakout. Any tips/ advice? :(
