I have mild acne with moderate breaks outs. My acne is usually inflamed and leaves behind hyperpigmentation, even if i don't sqeeze or pick.
marks linger for about a month but before they heal I'll have another 4 or 5 breakouts. The cycle is endless.
I'm currently on antibiotics, both oral and topical for about 3 months now. My face heals then just breaks out when things are healing.
I'm getting married in 9 months (male) and I just feel like giving up on my face. The doc won't refer me to a derm because my face isn't just considered bad enough in her eyes.
But it's clearly a bad case for an adult to have the acne I am. Just wanted to vent out.
cya.
Hey jPablo,
Giving up on your face will only prolong the issue. If you relapsed, try documenting what things have worked and haven't worked for you. We know hyper pigmentation isn't great, but it does sound like you are early enough in catching your acne to find a solution and leave without any permanent scars. There is always an upside.

Me and huynhingskin battled acne for 10+ years. I don't know about him but I gave up for a lot of them. Only in recent years did I begin a new battle and went through thousands of dollars of supplements / lifestyle changes until finally landing on a cure that worked for me.
Once I treated my demodex mites, I cleared up like since before puberty.
I have a thread started about this if you search my posts.
You don't need to keep living with this acne. Please consider demodex might be the cause of your acne.
Regards

I have long back given up on my pimples. When I was in high school I used to or still like a girl, but I was suffering from sever acne, so never had the guts nor confidence to talk with her; in fact it was very hard to make a eye contact with her. She knew that I liked her, but I was coward and their was another guy who used to like her and was good looking and friend or her best friend. So i never had the chance. And now I'm in my last year of engineering(after 4 years) and she is still in good love relationship with that boy.But one good thing for me my pimples never left my side and i think they will never. I have tried everything but for me the time has gone and the scars or pores on my face will never go.And the most sad part for me is neither my siblings nor my parents nor my cousin's had any pimples. So I have given every ounce of hope of free from pimples. And I also can't afford acctunate.

I feel your pain. I'm on month 5 now and worse than I ever was. Stopped antibiotics.
