And most days. Like physically painfully on my face. I don't want to leave the house. I feel gross. I Feel like I can't live a normal life. I've tried literally everything. Accutane, hormonal, antibiotics, you name it. Just really hopeless, really low. I don't know what to do.
I know that feel, I got horrible cystic acne last year(while already been dealing with acne and quite severe PIH), got that under control with calamine lotion(LOTS OF IT, IT WORKS) and topicals. But now I am left with bad scars and PIH, so I know that hopeless feeling. I cant give much advice to you as you said you have already tried everything, but talk about it with your family, your close friends, they will understand, it feels better, and you always have this community with really nice people to talk to.

how did you use calamine lotion?

Thank you, I've tried changing diet and more than one accutane course though and unfortunately hasn't helped long term.

how did you use calamine lotion?
before going to bed, I would take lots of calamine lotion and dab it above all the cysts, LOTS OF IT, and the inflammation seemed better in just 2-3 days.
Dianette was a miracle cure for me. Been on it 17 years with gaps for two children. Increased risk of blood clots compared to average contraceptive pill but I have never had any problems. Regular 6 monthly checks. It changed my life. Doc says I need to come off it when I am 50 next year. Worried about that but I hope my hormones will have settled down by then. Was tough at beginning cos got worse but 5-6 months later my skin was amazing and has been great ever since. You have to stick with it. Got temporarily worse when I came off to have children but got right back on it after and skin was great again. Worth a try!

Is this similar to spiro in the effects? I am on birth control right now tri sprintec
Both dianette and Spiro have an anti-androgen effect . I have never used Spiro though so know less about it. Dianette is a contraceptive pill and Spiro is used for a variety of illnesses but is also good for acne.
How long have you been on Tri Sprintec? How's it going? Will take 3 months or so to tell if it's working I expect.
Bella cat, youre not alone. I have tried multiple rounds of accutane, birth control, every topical on the market and spiro (which I am currently on going on two years). Acne is better but still not gone. Ive also done diet and holistic route. I dont have the answer but just wanted you to know Im there with you. Feel free to pm.
