Acne Vulgaris, you've won

I give up trying to have clear skin.
Over the course of years I've tried almost everything. I've had moments of clarity, but that's all they were; moments. My acne always comes back with vehemence eventually. The only things I haven't tried are birth control and accutane... I'm not very hopeful with the former (especially after reading some acne horror stories) and since becoming orthorexic my breakouts aren't quite severe enough that doctors would prescribe me accutane. So this is the end of the road for my battle with acne, because I surrender.

Sorry, I'm not really sure what the point of posting this is. I'm just venting. I wish the best of luck for everyone else in their struggle for clear skin!

Ludo, I have to say I agree with you. I'm in the same boat. Tons of prescriptions, two rounds of accutane, and I'm 29.... I have stared to slowly accept this is going to be my life. It's pretty mild, I have poetically 4-10 small pimples at any given time, but at my age and all I've been through, I shouldn't have any. I feel oddly empowered though, by just saying, this is me, and if people don't like me too bad. I'm almost 30, and I've stopped caring as much. It still blows, but once you kind of surrender, the stress and anxiety go away, sometimes helping the acne go away....

I suggest birth control or Spiro first. They have great potential and so much less risk than accutane why haven't ypu tried birth control yet?
