I've seen a few posts on this forum of girls asking whether guys they meet really notice/care about their acne. Well, I can't speak for all guysbut, just personally, I do notice if a girl has acne, but I do not care.

I'm a pretty good looking guy, age 21, who still deals with light acne to some extent, but more so light-to-moderate post-acne red marks on my face. Because the red marks have become a sort of obsession of mine, I definitely am paying attention to other people's skinnot that it really affects how much I like a girl. A few weeks ago, I met this girlone of my friend's friendswho had some acne on her jawline, but I nonetheless found myself attracted to her becuase her personality/confidence was so strong. The acne thing just didn't bother me AT ALL.
I'm just putting this out there to help those feeling insecure because of acne feel more confident! Work what you got! You're beautiful!
Great post!!!
And I just want to add... I'm a gay man, and appearances can be very important in the gay world..
I totally digged this guy I was working with the other day that had one of the most sever cases of acne on his cheeks I had ever seen! Still didn't mean his face wasn't cute.
I honestly think that we as acne-sufferers really make a much bigger deal out of it than clear-skinned people do. Before my skin became more of a problem, I never paid attention to whether or not someone had acne; it just didn't register with me, and someone would have have had to have severe acne for me to even notice. Nowadays I'm more aware of other people's skin simply because I'm thinking a lot more about my skin now, not that someone having acne/red marks/scars affects whether or not I find them attractive.
I don't know how girls look for in guysand I admit I find myself feeling uncomfortable and thinking I'm "disadvantaged" by my own red marks from time to timebut for me, and for most other guys, a girl with acne who is confident in herself is no less attractive on account of her acne.

Does any of the women on here have any thing to say about their perspective in dealing with guys with non-clear skin? I don't really have a lot of active acne, but I have light-to-light/moderate red marks on my jawlines. Is that something you would care about? What about more severe acne, etc.?
Just as tattoos shouldn't affect how people perceive you in the workplace, around their kids, etc, neither should acne. It's literally skin deep. It usually goes away sooner or later with good treatment, and if a guy has severe acne and treats me good, I'm blind to it. It's really personality. And any girl that's gonna turn a nice man down because of something as trivial as acne, is a girl that man shouldn't even waste his time on. 🙂
