1 would be a High fat mid protein extremly low carb no whip cream diet. Ketosis diet. Where you body uses ketones instead of sugar as energy. This diet takes weeks to get into afully nd when in you can't mess up or it takes a week to get back into. When I'm on this diet my acne clears up 100%. No cooked vegtables. No fruit. no breads or grains.

2. This method would be to eliminate all mirror from your house. i am actualy thinking about removing my bathroom mirror for good.

Anyone have a 3?. There was only 1 other person out of all my research who actually managed to stop picking. They did this through deep dedicated daily meditation. Amaming huh?.

Anyway Just thought id give my 2 cents.

i have not posted in so long but recently picking is tuining my life again. I hate it. My face is destroyed as of a few hours ago.

Hey, it's good you've found some ways to stop picking...I can't say I've tried the first one but the second one I definitely agree with! I'm just curious because statistically speaking most pickers are female...did you only start picking when you got acne or did you do it before - like picking scabs when you were little or messing with ingrown hairs (sorry don't mean to be disgusting!).

I have a number 3 but it's mainly for girls...basically just throwing out/ leaving at home my concealer usually works because I know I can't hide the damage! From a guys point of view do you try and avoid picking when there's a lot of people around?

Although maybe a number 4 too, someone else mentioned on here about breaking the habit by doing sit ups/ press ups every time you want to pick...something about the endorphines from exercising as well as the energy used up should take away the compulsion to pick, and if it doesn't entirely work then on the plus side you'll be a bit more toned.

Just so you know I completely know where you're coming from on how you're feeling about destroying your face, for me I feel so ashamed standing back from the mirror after picking and seeing all the damage I've done. Try and remember it's just temporary...your face will heal if you let it. Also - unless we are talking giant whiteheads, a spot always looks better than a scab and your body can deal with a spot much easier than it can get rid of a scab.
