Weird. Mine definitely itch a lot, but not always. Usually they are VERY sore but moderately itchy.

That seems very unrestricted - as in, doesn't care about oil production (highest density of sebaceous glands are chest and up). I think you're right to avoid accutane (for a second time that is).

I forgot to ask - what's your tongue look like? Is it perfect pink, swollen red, coated white, or coated otherwise? Note that there are many different types of coatings, so if you have one, try to describe it, and if you can scrape it off easily.

It's possible that you have an auto-immune disease driven by a set of mutations in sebaceous glands or any part of the immune system. Really hard to pin down, because of how many factors are involved. I have heard that colostrum helps in modulating the immune system. If you haven't tried it, you could give it a go. Note that a bunch of people did a colostrum experiment a while back. Many got more acne. This is because colostrum contains growth factors that can easily lead to more hormonal acne, and a bunch of the people doing the experiment were teens. But since your situation seems to be different, colostrum might be of benefit to you. You might experience an initial breakout, especially along the jawline.

Another option is some sort of a folliculitis. Do you have dandruff, or acne on the scalp? Or hair loss?

It's possible that you have some sort of acneiform infection. Did your acne used to be milder, get better with treatment, and then come back with a vengeance? Were you ever on antibiotics for a long-ish period of time? I notice that you said antibiotics disagree with you. How long exactly did you take them?

Sorry for all the questions, but as you can see acne is a really complicated problem :(

Have you tried zinc and/or vitamin d3?

I'm taking 60mg of zinc and 50ug of vit.d3 per day and they seem to help my acne with no side effects.

- My tongue is bright pink - no white coating (no yeast overgrowth). I never was on antibiotics for more than a few weeks I couldn't tolerate them due to nausea.

- My acne was NEVER mild it was always consistently aggressive with no remissions.

- No hairloss, no dandruff either.

- No hormonal imbalances either.

- No Autoimmune disease either - I was tested for everything from Lupus to inflammatory bowel disease. Everything is normal.

I will bet money on mutations within the sebaceous glands.

I have an extensive knowledge on nutrition and hollistics, nothing you're telling me in regards to vitamins and probiotics and such I haven't already done to death before.

Of course I have. I have done EVERYTHING. There is NOTHING left to try.
