Good for you.

I envy you.. I'm 22 years old (and a new sufferer to acne I might add) and I've let acne take over my life, especially my social life. I have a boyfriend too and never let him see me without makeup because we started dating almost 3 years ago and up until recently I've always had clear skin, so it basically mortified me :/ even though he would never judge me and I make it way worse than it is. Now makeup, makeup without a doubt may 'cover' my acne, but makes it look way worse!! But I wear it to mask the red marks, but over top of active acne, or the peeling I'm experiencing due to just starting epiduo, it looks 10 times worse. And I gotta tell ya, not wearing makeup at home is the BEST feeling ever! But, don't think I'm quite to the point where I could step outside without it. I wish I could but my self esteem is at an all time low. Turning 21 last year was suppose to be the best year of my life but I totally retained myself and I hate myself for it. I'm not a shallow person whatsoever, but with myself?? Completely different ball game.. Good luck to you and hopefully I can do it too one day soon, keep updating this though! Very inspirational!

So i tried a BB cream which I guess is technically foundation-and it works pretty well, but I am not going to use it for now. I feel like it's cheating even though it didn't cover any of my acne it did even out my overal skin tone so i felt better. Once my face is clear, I would like to use SOMETHING just for an evening effect but who knows:( I spent a good portion of my day looking at celebrities without makeup and it's no wonder we are all so hard on ourselves!! Some of the comments people made were AWFUL. The one girl was really naturally beautiful but she had a ton of acne and post acne marks on her bare face. She posted the picture on purpose to promote natural beauty and people were tearing her apart. So disappointing. Oh well. Keep up the good work everyone. And Havefaith22-listen to yourself- Have faith!! You will get through this and you never know your boyfriend may love your fresh faced look ) Mine happens to be the only reason I am getting through this... he is amazing.
