Had an amazing weekend with my bf! Felt great to not worry about my skin even tho my face was a mess plus I got a huge pimple. The great thing is, my bf doesn't care. 
I couldnt be more lucky. Ordered my black soap last night, should be receiving it soon. Doing my turmeric mask daily, need these marks to go away! Peace.
Been clear for an entire month. But for some reason feeling extremely depressed and weak. My scars left behind look like nuclear war remains on my face. The time I've lost so many opportunities turned down, chances I had but couldn't get myself to go thru with it because of my acne. And of course my stuttering doesnt really help the cause at all. It's time to lite one up it's been 2 fuckin long.

Apart from a massive cyst slap bang on the middle of my nose, not doing too bad.
One thing I have noticed is that ever since I have been sanding down scratches on my car and spraying it, I have these weird tiny blisters on my hands, hardly noticeable at first but now its spreading... acne of the hands? I hope not

My skin isn't doing great today. I had a small break out of on my chin yesterday consisting out of a handful of pimples. Luckily though most of it has already dried out, the blemishes will probably stay for another two weeks though... What is making me a bit upset is that there is another pimple underneath my skin that started to come up yesterday. It hasn't reached the surface yet though. I'm hoping it'll come up soon or with a bit of luck not at all, because I'm trying to dry it out with benzoyl peroxide. I've also gotten a couple of whiteheads on my forehead, I think that's the result of being in the sun for too long yesterday.
I also got my new moisturizer today! I found out that my old moisturizer actually contained some ingredients that were very likely to block my pores. I'm also looking forward to the results that taking saw palmetto might have. I started taking them today after I read how saw palmetto can hinder the transformation of testosterone to DHT. The combination of lifting weights and consuming a shit ton of calories is causing my testosterone to shoot through the roof. So if I can somehow put a lid on the forming of DHT I'll hopefully stop breaking out.
Does anyone know how to go about that? Do I need to go to a specialist and get blood work?
Some dermatolagists offer allergy tests too. In my case they used some sort of resonance-machiney-thing. That machine can work wonders although it isn't actually proven by western science that it worked. Although I'm sure it does work because it somehow managed to find out that I had something wrong with my ears (I've had very bad earinfections as a child) and my nervous system (I injured a nerve during a sport related injury).
If your dermatologist doesn't offer similar services, I'm sure they know of a specialist that can help you.

Whyyyy is my skin so weird?!
I swear, the mark in between my eyebrows got darker. This happened during my study abroad too but after my mishap with hydroquinone the mark got essentially 'peeled off' and revealed raw, pink skin. I put a bandaid on it for a couple of days and it healed very nicely with just slightly pink normal skin there. Now the mark looks a little darker. I have barely been out in the sun and when I have (just to walk to my car or something) I have at least SPF 30 on. So I'm just so confused as to how it got darker. Maybe it wasn't done healing yet? It's been about a week since I first peeled the scab off. It looks fine with makeup on, which I'm very happy about. But I'm paranoid that it will become even darker to the point where makeup can't hide it. Ugh....my skin is so weird! I guess I just need to stop worrying about it and just be proactive about protecting my skin. On the plus side, the mark next to my lip seems to be fading more with each day.
I'm feeling a lot better about my skin as of late. Had a chat with my old therapist today on the phone and she made me feel a lot better too. My skin may not be perfect but it's looking a LOT better than it did six months ago, and if I got through that, then I can get through this! I'm just worried about sun exposure now....I don't want my face to get any darker, but I still want to go outside and feel the nice warm sun!! I put on SPF 60 and everything but sometimes I just get worried it won't help! Plus I'm going to Florida next week...I'm planning on re-applying SPF often and wearing a hat. I'm not taking chances anymore with sun exposure. Not only cause of PIH but cause of other sun damage/skin cancer too.
If you notice your skin is getting darker you should try using a sunscreen that contains vitamin B3, titanium oxide, and zinc.

Not much improvement in my skin unfortunately but feeling ok about my skin anyway
Started to feel a little self conscious of my skin though at uni today. I was in a tut class and the tutor wanted us to do one of those horrible 'getting to know you / ice breaker' activities. We were to draw ourselves so that other people we didn't know in the class would be able to find us based on our pictures.... Hahaha no way was I going to draw acne but it was the first 'distinctive' thing of me that I thought of. And I'm terrible at drawing anyway 
Ended up going with a stick figure girl with a long ponytail - cause I do have rather long hair haha
Was glad when that was over - but it did end up being a bit of fun
anyone else excited and looking forward to adding something to your regimen to see if its the missing link? Im adding sugar tonight for an exfoliant and im really hoping its the extra UMPH I need.
I always get excited to try new things in my regimen! Always hoping it's the missing link, like you said. My latest addition is using sea salt in things like in the green tea and sea salt toner and sometimes in a honey mask - which can double as an exfoliant when you take it off.
My skin is being a bit annoying as of lately. The whiteheads on my forehead have gone down, but to make up for it another couple of small pimples have come up on my chin. I suppose I have to be glad that all my acne is in the same area (the last breakout I had was below the right corner of my mouth). My cheeks are still clear except for a blemish or two. There is some good news however! I believe my new moisturizer is doing its job, because after I looked at myself in the mirror this morning I didn't really have any dried up skin. With my old moisturizer I'd often have a couple of dry patches, even though it was a lot more thick than the moisturizer that I'm currently using.
Another thing I'm glad about is the weather. There's finally some sunshine! That always puts a smile on my face, even if sunlight does bring out more of my blemish redness. But I'm beyond the days of hiding, I've decided to let acne no longer lead my life.

I went to my GP today and he said "When I look at you, I don't think of acne at all" and then he said "I bet you go right up close to the mirror when you look at yourself, don't you? No one is looking at you like that". He's right, but I do have some acne.
I'm so fed up of these clogged pores and blackheads. They're all over my cheeks, forehead and chin, and when I catch my reflection in certain lights I look truly horrific. I'm glad the inflamed stuff has basically gone now, but this is in some ways more frustrating because nothing shifts it.

Murph - did you ABS have coconut in it? Did you go through a purging period? What was your acne like before using the soap? Bought some with coconut but afraid to use it as coconut can clog pores

Murph - did you ABS have coconut in it? Did you go through a purging period? What was your acne like before using the soap? Bought some with coconut but afraid to use it as coconut can clog pores
Yes the ABS has coconut oil in it. I did not go through a purging period. My skin has only broken out once since ive been using for about 2 weeks. I've used straight coconut oil on my face for a few weeks and I never experienced clogged pores. My acne before I started the soap was whiteheads and pimples on my cheeks. About 6 on my right and 3 on my left. Like I said, I've only had about 3 or 4 new pimples pop up since using it, which is pretty good IMO. My skin is ¼ber smooth, but all I'm left with right now is red marks which will fade....hopefully. I added sugar last night as an exfoliant so I'm hoping I can get rid of them faster that way. My skin needs to be exfoliated. It seems as if my skin doesn't shed dead skin cells at a normal rate which equals clogged pores. So I'm hoping sugar is the missing link.
Give the Nubian heritage a shot though. There is also a brand called Shea moisture which has the same natural ingrediants as Nubian, but I believe it does not have coconut oil so if our afraid of coconut oil, try the Shea moisture.
