Spending less time in the mirror, now that's a positive.

overall last 3 days not so bad even though I know they're there trying to stay positive, trying to live.

Why does this weather have to make my acne worse :,( FUCK THIS FUCKING SHIT !....siigh that felt good...I want it to get cold...sadface

I got mad at myself and got a new zits. I do break out with one of two zits when I am angry. It happens to me.

I was getting clear, but still redness.. now broke out with some painful acne. They aren't big, but medium and noticeable, painful. Hopefully to get clear soon.. I was ready for this breakouts anyways. I knew because I stopped usijng BP a while ago, now using natural products on my skin and eat lots of fruits and vegetables which removes toxins out of skin and cleanse and so that's why I am breaking out more than ever. >_<

I was kind of thinking about the weather actually and how my skin used to react. Really used to hate summer because I'd want to hide away most of the time and not feeling like I could enjoy it would obviously depress me quite a bit. If ever I did enjoy the sun, I'd find that I'd sweat as well as having visibly oily skin and I'd just break out even more. The weather's been great here these last few days and I guess this is the start of summer for us. Occurred to me that I might be able to enjoy it for the first time in a long time without having to worry if it will have a negative impact on my skin.

I was out in my local park this morning, just walking and enjoying the sunshine before it got a little too hot for my liking. It wasn't until I got home that I realised I hadn't paid any attention to my skin or thought about how others may have see me. I don't suppose there's anything to pay attention to and anything in particular for others to see nowadays. That's a nice feeling and I'm quite happy to be getting to a point where how I feel about myself is changing for the better and the insecurities I have about my appearance are lessening over time as I leave it behind me.

Although this website is useful, I think sometimes its good to have a break and just forget about acne for a while. I tried to stop coming on here for a bit, and for the past week tried to forget about my acne, applied my topicals and got on with life. Seems to have worked a little, a couple of people have told me my skins glowing!

you know I think I have to do the same thing, stay off this site for a while.

At first I thought it was great to find it--and it is great to see youre not alone--but it can become obsessive at least for people like me with manic tendancies. I actually think my skin is worse now than it was (on my face my body acne is nearly gone).

I might just stop for a week and see if it helps at least mentally.

Its no fun to have acne on the brain 24/7 whistling.gif(

This will be my last post for a week starting now and Im not going to be on this site until next week.

wish me luck.

good luck!! hope your coping ok!! I've been spending less and less time on this website, so thinking a lot less about my acne. It has helped me loads!! I only have 2 tiny spots on my face and a few marks which my derm said will fade in the next few months so I'm so happy and I feel as if I can enjoy this gorgeous weather we have in the UK!! Ive been on the pill for a month and a bit, and I can really see it helping. That and the sunshine! xxx

Not feeling so good about my skin today. It's really freaked out on me this past week and is not looking good. I'm putting it down to increased stress and fairly large amounts of coffee...

I thought my skin was healing, but broke out with 3-4 pimples on face, not on forehead though. My forehead has no active pimples. I had like 20 on my forehead. I still have red marks there and new scars which sucks. Anyways, I broke out on cheeks which sucks 'cause it does leave bad scarring. I am trying my best to be gentle when I dry my face with a tower and will try not to touch it. I don't care about my acne as I have scars anyways.. I don't mind new ones. It is just that I don't want a lot of pimples on face. We'll see what happens 'cause I might have to use BP again if I keep breaking out and I really don't wanna apply BP. I dunno if the product I use is pulling out the toxins of the skin. I use Indian Aztec clay and I apply coconut oil before I go to bed. I also eat raw foods, mostly fruits and veggies which are good for cleansing or w.e. Dunno what to do.. I guess I just have to be patient and let the time heal my skin ;\ I don't even wanna go out .. I have to take my mom and sister to the pharmacy. >_< Oh well

Skin is still completely broken out but I was doing ok today until about half an hour ago when I went to get ready to go out tonight. The bright setting sun light coming in through my bathroom mirror really showed how horrible my skin is and this really cut me. Doesn't help that I can't get my foundation to go on nicely either. I was hoping that I'd be able to apply makeup more easily once stopping BP but now I'm thinking it's more the foundation that I'm using that makes it hard to apply rather than my skins condition. Oh well - At least it looks a little better than with nothing on at all... I want to be able to not wear foundation - I used to not wear it -even with bad skin - but for some reason I started wearing it and now it's nearly like a 'security blanket' (unfortunately)

Also thinking I might have to start using BP again. Don't really know what else to use.

Yeah, you might get worse if you stop using BP, but if you wanna stop using BP because it is harmful for skin and you might have to use it forever.. then it is worth it to go into this nightmare. I did broke out a lot after I stopped using BP, but I was prepared for it. I am still breaking out a bit, but I think it is healing slowly. I am treating my skin naturally now instead of chemicals. I really hope to be at least 96% clear before classes starts in the Fall. I have like 3-4 months ^^;;

Isn't coconut oil pretty comedogenic?

I heard of that, but not the raw or extra-virgin coconut oil. It works for a lot of people, but it made my skin greasy, even the next day, so I am going to use jojoba oil which I ordered it. Hopefully it makes my skin smooth and not greasy.

I stopped the BP a while ago - has to be nearly a month I think. I had heard about having a breakout once stopping it, so I was expecting it soon after, but surprisingly to me my skin was really good for about two weeks after I stopped BP. Had no cystic or painful acne and it seemed like things were getting better without it. But it didn't last. Maybe what I have now is the breakout from stopping it? I would think it's a culmination of factors though.

But yeah - I stopped because I'd been using it for a while with no amazing results and I don't like the idea of putting so many chemicals on my skin and I'd heard some things about BP 'accelerating' ageing etc - though I'm not sure if there's any solid research finding these things.

In a way I do want to try the acne.org regimen - but I think I'll try out some different diet things and have an intolerance test done first and see how that goes.

Hope things go well for you and you see some good results before your classes start again!

It happened to me! I stayed clear when I stopped using BP. This happened to many people. Don't worry, once it is calmed, you should stay clear. I think it is 'cause all the toxins are coming out of the skin or something, so it is cleansing. I suggest eating raw foods and treat your skin naturally as they do help a lot to kill bacteria, etc.

And thanks! I hope so too! :) Take care!

Well I can officially say my skin looks the best it has in 4 months. I still have a little redness around my nose from the seborrheic dermatitis, but it may just be something I have to live with until it naturally fades. Ive been using coconut oil EVERY night for over 2 weeks, and that stuff is a miracle worker. If I have a spot (from the rosacea) coming up, its virtually gone by the morning. It has evened out my skin tone. Its great stuff. Ive been sticking to all natural face cleansers, no SLS or flouride or any harsh chemicals. As far as the candida diet goes, ive been slacking but I havent noticed any negative difference in my skin. Ive had like 8 chocolate chip cookies in the past few days, and nothing new has showed up. Ive had bread with yeast and eggs and wheat in it, and again no difference. I havent had any fruit because im still afraid of the sugar. I also havent had any alcohol. That will be the biggest test. If I can have a beer and not have any break out (rosacea/candida) then I really feel im good. Its so hot here in NYC and I just wanna go out to the patio at a restaraunt and chill and have an ice cold beer. I probably will just to see how my skin reacts. My skin still flushes, but again its something I may just have to deal with. When I do get insurance, i may schedule an appt with a NEW derm and ask about anti flushing pills. Overall, my confidence is back and im starting to get back to my old self and wanting to move forward with life. Its so amazing how skin problems can completely throw your life off track.

I'm glad my skin isn't looking greasy or oily.. w.e it is. I guess the witch hazel is too drying so my skin was producing too much oil or something. I stopped applying witch hazel and my face isn't oily at all. My forehead is finally completely clear, but I am left with scars. I have a bad one, but since I eat healthy and apply aloe vera, etc.. it won't be very bad. I hope jojoba oil can help a bit. I stopped using coconut oil, I think it was breaking me out a bit. I can't wait to receive my jojoba oil because my skin still producing oils. I am breaking out cheeks now though, but it isn't as bad as the forehead, but bad enough to leave scars.=[

UPDATE: I just applied jojoba oil for the first on entire face. We'll see if this breaks me out >_<

It's been quite a while since I've been on here. I've been trying to get away from this website and focus more on homework, assignments, and football on Saturdays. I'm not saying anything bad about this website, but everybody needs a break from somewhere every now and then. To all of my blog readers, I'm sorry that I haven't done a blog recently. I've decided that I'll be doing my blogs once every 1-5 weeks. A blog every week is just pointless when I don't have much to say. Back on point, my skin has been bugging me a little bit. My scars have nearly disappeared, which I'm happy about, but due to the antibiotics that I've been taking, my skin has become dry in some areas. I've been using Cetaphil Moisturising Cream for about two weeks now and that's helped a lot. That's about it.
