Flagg are you going to apply all over or just the chin/ mouth area?
When I start the regimen, you mean? I'm gonna follow the instructions and apply all over my face. My cheeks and forehead are clear at the moment, but I still get some smaller/medium-sized stuff on those areas (especially cheeks) from time to time too. Better to be safe than sorry, I figure.
Not great. Skin is pretty bad lately but still better than some breakouts I've had in the past (which is an upside I guess). I've had limited sleep in the last 3 days and been very stressed so that's all showing on my skin I think.
This issue of skin / acne came up when I was talking to my mum yesterday. Talking about it is always hard and emotional for me. I think she can see that but doesn't fully understand how deeply acne effects me... I'm trying to decided whether to try the acne.org regimen or go to my doctor and ask about sprio or the pill or just focus on diet and exercise more again because I slackened off with that. I'm thinking now would be a good time to order/start so I could start using it at the end of june because I have 4 weeks off from uni so I could afford to stay indoors a little while my skin adjusted a bit... I might make a thread asking a bunch of questions about using the regimen soon (so if people here who use the regimen could keep an eye out for that just in case they can help answer questions, that would be great)
Hope everyone else is doing well
Good luck to you if you decide to try the regimen, Lily! Seems like we'll have quite a few people from this section of the forums starting it here soon.
Feeling ok despite having an increase in acne possibly due to beginning the regimen (i have concentrated acne on my lip that popped up over the last few days - ugh).
Maybe its because i have a lot on my mind including:
- looking for a new apartment
- doing ALL the lesson plans because my co-worker is on medical leave
- planning my summer
- life in general
In any event - my mood is pretty much ok - can't complain right now
Feeling anxious. I'd had ups and downs with acne, sometimes it destroys my entire day, sometimes it's not so bad. But it's been years since I looked in the mirror and was half-satisfied with my face. It's always the chin/jawline area, if I cover that part with my hand then it looks like I have no spots at all. I'm so desperate to get rid of it (I know I'm not alone there of course) and paranoid that anything I'm doing could make it worse that I just don't know where to start. Am I missing a particular vitamin?Am I taking too long washing my face? Or not enough time? Is it my cleanser, my moisturiser, my toner? Am I shaving the wrong way? Am I not getting enough sleep? Is it my diet? If so what part? I drive myself INSANE and then just decide to give up for a while, surrender to it, try to enjoy life but then discover I can't because the acne wont go away unless I change SOMETHING, but I've no idea what it is. I've wasted 3 years like this now, I can't get them back I don't want to waste another second of my life worrying about this awful and quite frankly boring disease. It's sickening that there are companies out there making money from people's misery and desperation, buying products that if they did what they claim to do (eliminate acne) that company would go out of business.
I find myself coming to this thread when I get a spot or two. I just got a tiny one on my cheek and I am beginning to think it is because I keep getting stressed at work lately. Do you guys find that stress is a contributor to getting acne??
Stress is a factor for me definitely (and I think it's one of the things that has been proven as a link to acne). My skin is doing a lot worse right now and I've been over-the-top stressed with my uni schedule and assessment due dates lately.
Yeah, I didn't seem to think they were connected but after getting clear with the regimen I only got spots at that time of the month and this one just came out of nowhere so stress was my suspect. But I really shouldn't complain, it is one tiny spot and has gone down already.
Bummed because when I thought that my skin was somewhat improving , I suddenly get breakouts (little bumps) on both my cheeks, and like three big ones that are going to hurt. My forehead is usuallly clear but now there's two pimples? :/ The hell. Why has mother nature decided to fuck with me today. Speaking of stress, it's finals week, so maybe that played into it.
MSM cream works so well! After 4 days I can already feel my smaller scars getting filled up little by little. And no active acne this week, yay!
I have always heard good reviews on MSM CREAM
What brand you use ? I have dry skin and a little of pigmentation marks. thinking of purchasing a jar.

I bought mine in the pharmacy, it's a simple 5% strength msm in an essex cream (or a base cream).

MSM lotion is really good. I;ve been applying the MSM lotion, a brand called The Raw food world by David Wolfe. I like David Wolfe who wrote books about raw food. His stuff are very good qualities.

Haha - we're all being converted
Thanks (I'm still not completely decided though) But good luck to you!
I might order it in the next few weeks but that might depend on the cost... I don't know what the shipping is to Australia. But I'll have to do it soon or I'll talk myself out of it... I started doing a mental pros/cons list... I have many more cons than pros for it yet I still think I'll end up trying it at least.
Edit/Update - I was reading through the FAQs and other Regimen info and decided I really should just try it. I started putting through an order to see the cost - the cheapest shipping option was $58.10! That's A LOT more than I thought it would be... and then there's the cost of the products... I don't know if I can really afford to buy that now. So frustrating. So now I'm back to not knowing what to do.

Damn, that is a rough shipping cost! I was only able to order the Dan's bp, I'll be using just a basic store bought cleanser and moisturizer when I start. I've been reading up on the FAQs like crazy too, and even though I've been using Epiduo for ages it says your skin may not be used to the amount of bp that is used during the Regimen, so the idea of insane flakes and dry irritated skin kinda scares me in the early goings, but I'm gonna try and soldier through that period because from what I understand you start seeing the major improvements after your skin acclimates to all that bp after the first several weeks of treatment. I think what really sold me on trying is the idea behind the Regimen is VERY solid, bp always kills the bacteria and dries my pimples out quickly when I spot treat with it, so I imagine using it on the entire face is almost like a preventive measure to kill all of that bacteria before it even has the opportunity to surface.
But yeah, that is a steep amount of cash just for shipping! Geez.

I wish I'd checked the cost of it before I'd basically convinced myself to try it!! Even if I just buy the BP I'm pretty sure the shipping cost is the same. Pretty ridiculous

I'm in the states so the shipping cost was just the basic $5 for regular US mail shipping, and the BP itself was about 15$ so all together including shipping it's only gonna be about $22. That sucks righteously though, that's way too much for shipping. They should try to address that somehow because I imagine tons of people outside of the US would like to buy the products and give the Regimen a go.
okay!
i sudden feel depressed and stupid abt feeling depressed.
could u guys check this please
i've a trip in 2 days and i am freaking out.
i'm normally calm and everything but i feel so depressed for suddenly i have this tiny but red spot.
i've been waiting for this trip for mnths and taking every step possible but just before the moment i'm left feeling so low.
now i could dismiss the trip and anyway trips aint fun anymore in my life with all the tension i take.
look at the stupid sudden attack.
take care guys!
Shipping always costs me at least $10. WTF.
^A semi-recent pic that isn't retouched. It's from a couple of weeks ago and my scars have faded some since then. I have BB cream on.
I'm feeling okay today. The breakout that I had was definitely due to stress....and now the right side of my face is back to its spotless self and the left just has a few red marks.
I've actually stopped using my Paula's Choice products for the past 3 days...and have started cleansing my face with grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, and tea tree oil. After I wash it all off with a warm washcloth, I put on some coconut oil (at night). I figured I was having such great results with coconut oil, that I'd use oil for everything. I suppose this is similar to the Oil Cleansing Method...but not classically-- I'm not using Castor Oil or Olive Oil.
I'm nervous that I'll ruin my face (despite my already great results)...but Paula's Choice is getting expensive....meh.
Also, I may or may not be going to Basic Combat Training this summer (depends on if I get into Officer Candidate School for the Army....fingers crossed), but I'm nervous about not wearing makeup over my red marks.
You look amazing!!! I don't see any blemish anywhere.
But what's those square marks, ike matt thing on your face? Is it just the shadow?

I was taking a pic in the light coming in through the window and the screen made a shadow on me. And thanks!
Lookin' gorgeous, Deja! Makes me excited to get the Regimen supplies so I can start myself, lol
