Pros:

Amazing finish and coverage. Covers my dark eye circles wonderfully and makes my skin glow. But moreover, it COMPLETELY RID ME OF MY FACIAL ACNE AFTER HAVING IT SINCE AGE 11. Dozens of acne meds couldn't do this for me! I'm beyond satisfied!!

Cons:

Not a one! Love it!

I have had acne since age 11. I'm now 30. I was using MAC makeup and other expensive brands from fine department stores and my facial acne remained terrible, even with the use of Proactive Solution. Then I tried Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals, their makeup AND cleansing line, including face lotion for my dry spells. Within two weeks, others even noticed a difference in my complexion. It's been three months now and my face is STILL CLEAR without the use of any prescription drugs. I did start taking Solodyn last month to assist with chest/back acne (which thus far, has worked great). But I cannot sing the praises of Bare Minerals enough. I did once try another brand and it was awful, it sank into every pore/wrinkle on my face (and I didn't think I had wrinkles). The best brand to use for mineral makeup is definitely Bare Escentuals. I know not everyone may have my success with this product, but it's worth a shot! I have battled acne for years upon years and I am amazed, completely amazed at how my skin cleared up with this makeup.

Pros:

light, feels nice, covers blemishes

Cons:

caused horrible cystic acne!

Worth a try I guess for coverage, not really worth the money to see if it breaks you out.

Pros:

Good coverage, matched skin perfectly, light feeling

Cons:

Developed a rash after years of use, made me break out, itchy

I have used Bare Minerals for about 3 years and have loved it until recently. I opened my new container of minerals and the next day my face had a rash all over. My skin felt like sandpaper. I developed cystic acne, my skin itched horribly bad with and without the minerals on. When I would wash my face, even gently, I had areas that would bleed. I finally read an article that said people who have used Bare Minerals were developing reactions to it because of the Bismuth Oxychloride. Apparently it's due to buffing the crystals into your skin over the years that people are developing these reactions. I normally don't write reviews but thought I would share this bit of information. I have been struggling to get rid of this rash and would hate for others to have the same problem. So for those of you who are Bare Minerals users, if you develop any type of rash, stop using it. I quit using mine 4 days ago and my skin is finally starting to heal. It took me a month to realize that was the cause of this horrible rash. I hope this is of some help! :)

Pros:

It matched my skin perfectly. And it doesnt feel as heavy as the liquid makeup.

Cons:

Makes my skin itch and sometimes the coverage is not as good as I want it to be.

Im starting to think that its causing some of my break outs. So Im currently looking for another foundation.

Pros:

best make up i have ever used. i will not put ANYTHING on my face except for this. gives me great coverage, whether i'm looking for full coverage or light coverage. i used this when my acne was at its worst and it still covered it up completely. now i just use it to cover up spots, scars, and dark under eye circles. it has never broken me out. it's very soft and natural looking.

Cons:

could get pricey if you go through foundation fast or use it all the time.

i tell everyone about bare minerals and recommend it to everyone with or without acne. i love their powder, blushes, and eye make up.

Pros:

It gave me an airbrushed finish. Nice color selections, matched my skin perfectly.

Cons:

Made me breakout!!! I only used it once and by the end of the day I had 6 new bumps and this is when my skin was 98% clear:(

At first I thought it was just a coincidence so I gave it a 2nd chance (almost a year later) NOT a coincidence It broke me out. I've tried several mineral makeup's and had the same experience. My skin just doesn't tolerate mineral makeup AT ALL.

Pros:

natural looking, helped skin clarity and sofness overtime

Cons:

looks not as i wanted at first but let it soak into the skin, then it looks great

its a great foundation without all the added parabens and waxes like other powders have and doesnt have all the gunk and liquid junk from liquid makeup. i would recommend this product tremendously :)

Pros:

The idea of mineral makeup is appealing.
It's fragrance free.

Cons:

Made my skin itchy, looked completely fake, settled into every pore, line and flaw and broke me out. I looked awful.

Unless you have perfect skin already, I would't recommend this. It also can be irritating and itchy.
