Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Burning, itching, redness, increases skin oil, made me breakout horribly.

I used it for 5 days, and from day 1 my skin blew up. It made my skin more red and more oily than it already was. It itched and burned like hell. I know you are supposed to continue with a product for a month, but I just couldn't do it. Something about it didn't agree with my skin and I couldn't continue with it. I see my derm in 2 weeks and I'll explain to him what happened. I'm also on doxycycline. I'm on a high dose so I'm hoping that helps my acne.

Pros:

May help pimples and redness

Cons:

My skin got so oily, I had to discontinue use
Burning and itching when applied
Expensive

I wish this worked as well for me as it seems to have worked for most people. If I had read these reviews, I would have said "Whoo-hoo! Sign me up!" But I have found that azelaic acid makes my skin unbearably oily. I don't have naturally oily skin to begin with, so this was a new feeling. I had to blot throughout the day, and my makeup was sliding right off. Any benefits weren't outweighed by how oily my skin became.

Pros:

-Dries out pimples quickly.
-Makes your skin very soft.
-It works!

Cons:

-Itching/burning if your face is too dry before applying.

Best topical I have used. Awesome stuff. I feel like my breakouts heal quicker when using Finacea. Marks are vanishing. My skin feels awesome and honestly looked better after one use. I apply it twice a day, morning and night, which might be too much for some people. Make sure you rub it in well so you aren't left with white streaks on your face :) I would definitely recommend this to anyone ready for a change. It is AWESOME.

Pros:

Effective in treating nodules and light acne.

Cons:

Burning/stinging of skin, sometimes lasting all day. Super expensive, even with insurance. Not effective on roseacea or whiteheads.

While this worked for some of my acne - especially stopping nodules - I saw very little difference with my roseacea or whiteheads. The burning sensation became intolerable so I stopped using.

Pros:

-Dries out pimples more quickly than any topical I've ever used before
-Inexpensive under my insurance plan
-Doesn't sting

Cons:

-None

I dab a pea-sized amount on pimples as soon as I see the beginning of one and it works to visibly reduce them overnight.

Pros:

Reduces redness caused by acne, rosacea, and PIH. Reduces acne breakouts significantly (severity and frequency). Leaves a nice matte finish.

Cons:

Can be slightly stingy if you put it on without letting your face dry completely first. Slightly drying but nothing a light moisturizer can't take care of. Very pricey if you don't have insurance (glad I have it). Need a prescription.

I'm very impressed with this product. It got rid of my mild rosacea pretty much the first time I used it. I don't even get flushed after I drink alcohol or eat peppers (my two biggest triggers) anymore! I've been using it for 2 weeks now (2X a day) and I've only gotten two tiny new pimples in that time and they have cleared up within a day or two. Also, I am really surprised at how quickly this product cleared my PIH... Marks I had on my face for months literally vanished within the first week of using it. This stuff is amazing, I just wish I had tried it sooner!

February 12, 2011

Pros:

-It cleared my moderate face, jawline, neck, chest, arm and bacne up completely...
-the tingle reduces to pretty much nothing once your skin is used to it
-the white powder has a slightly cosmetic effect if you are pale
-slightly but noticably reduces redness immediately (could be the powdery residue)
-can apply makeup over it easily
-much less irritating than BP (I can use this on my neck!! my neck is now finally clear!!)

Cons:

-It took 4 months to have an effect and 8 months to totally clear me up
-Leaves a white powder residue which can leave deoderant like lines on clothes (they come off with water just like deoderant lines)
-tingle can be uncomfortable at first

after 12 years of acne, I will use this forever! My acne is moderate but very expansive, covers me from forehead to buttcrack when untreated. This stuff has saved my skin and my sanity! I reccomend anyone try it before anything harsher as the side effects are just about the mildest of any acne medication and it does have dramatic positive effects with perseverence! You really do have to be patient though. It does take months to work. used for 9 months.. never going back!

Pros:

leaves skin baby smooth; does not irritate or cause bothersome peeling; promotes fast heeling of pimples; unclogs poors

Cons:

if you use too much it causes a tingling sensation; more of a preventative acne solution versus a treatment

did wonders for me. suffered from acne for almost 4 years. keeps my skin soft and touchable. not a pore in sight! i use it every night even though you are supposed to use it twice a say. my skin is waaaay too sensitive for the twice a day thing: once at night is just right for me.
